Yes. I'm having trouble getting into the router. I can't even get to the point where I setup the router. I changed the IP address for the router under internet protocol to 192.168.1.10 and when I open internet explorer and type in 192.168.1.1 the router will not show.

Everything you need to do is to write 192-168-1-1 dont work on the address bar on your own preferred browser and push enter. It usually is to your greatest benefit to utilize browser with maximum assistance for net requirements (for example Firefox) to get the best effects. You'll be taken up to what's critically the computer software which drives your current networking piece of equipment. At this point you possibly can make corrections to configurations, set your account details, and setup your computer network machine as you think fit.

As it is the fact with any computer system setting, it usually is to your greatest benefit either to get a whole copy of your own adjustments prior to modify them or put down the defaults for every single function which you modify. A number of erroneous configurations when making your own computer network tool and you might remove your internet connection.

If a specific thing truly does fail when modifying your computer network piece of equipment via the private IP, there's typically a hardware reset switch on the backside of the unit which can recover the configurations on their facility defaults.

Hi john - the address 192.168.1.1 is the default address of your router. Your pc that you're using for setup is supposed to be set to 192.168.1.10. with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 . Are you having problems getting in to your router? Do not enter anything for the default user and password. Let me know what problems your having. Thanks.

When I type the ip address http:192.168.0.1 in and hit enter like it said to do it doesn't ope the admin. window it just opens the all the web pages for that ip.

This is an internal network IP address, it doesn't go any further than your own local network (LAN).
Are you sure that is the IP for the router? If you provide the name and model number for the router, I can tell you if your address is right.
Routers usualy have 192.168.1.1 as IP adress. other options are:192.168.1.100192.168.100.1

The steps to resolve this issue on a product that you want to set up with a wireless connection and on a product that you want to set up with a wired, or Ethernet, connection differ slightly. Depending on the connection type you want to set up, select one of the following methods, and then follow the steps provided to resolve the issue.Method one: Resolve the error on a product that uses a wireless connectionStep one: Print a network configuration page
  1. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
  2. Remove the phone or Internet cable that is connected to the back of the wireless router. Do not reconnect this cable until instructed to do so.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product. If the product does not turn on automatically, press the On button (c00636182.gif ) to turn the product on.
  4. Make sure that the blue Wireless light is on. If the Wireless light is not on, press theWireless button on the front panel of the product to turn wireless on.

  6. On the network configuration page, check the Network Connection Status line. If the status entry reads Ready , continue with 'Step two: Set the product IP information in the Embedded Web Server (EWS).' If the status entry reads anything else, continue with the next step.
  7. Press the Setup button (c01726396.gif ) on the product control panel, select Network , and then select Wireless Setup Wizard . Follow the instructions in the wizard to complete the configuration.
  8. When the Wireless Setup Wizard is complete, press and hold the Cancel button for several seconds. The network configuration page prints.

I just received a new modem from my cable company and now my router doesn't work. I tried resetting it and it still doesn't work. What do I do next

Reset your router back to it's factory settings by holding the reset button for about 5 seconds. I have provided a list of the most popular router brands. If it does not work you may need to google what your specific model's default IP address/default username/default passwords are, for example search for "Encore ENHWI-2AN3 default IP address" The default login info can change, it can depend on where you obtained your router. If you purchased it yourself from a store then the standard defaults should work. If you obtained your router from your Internet Provider you may need to contact your service provider. It also may depend whether it's an old or new model router as well. And you may need to press and hold the reset button on your router several times before it actually clears. Make sure you have a wired connection then once you have accessed your router simply run the Setup Wizard. Set your SSID as something you'll remember like "Mavericks Network" and your Password can be something like your phone number for example 3109876543

Where do i find the ip address for my lexmark z705 printer

Hi,

This may help.

How do I find IP address of a network printer?

Often times we see a networked printer suddenly stop working and you need to find a static (private) ip address of the printer to diagnose further. How do we find IP address of a networked printer? There are a few different ways to go about finding it.
1. A network printer with built-in ethernet port usually provides a menu button that will allow you to display IP address assigned to it. You may also try printing self test or configuration page from your printer.
2. If you can't find an IP address of a network printer from the menu display or your printer is connected to a printer server with no display, you may find its address from any networked computer configured to use the printer. To find the printer IP address from a Windows machine, perform the following.

  • Start -> Printers and Faxes, or Start -> Control Panel -> Printers and Faxes
  • Right-click the printer name, and left-click Properties
  • Click the Ports tab, and widen the first column which displays IP address of the printers
3. If your networked printer uses DHCP, you may connect to your router and find the IP address of the printer from DHCP status page. The router displays all host machines that are assigned dynamic IP addresses.
4. You may also try pinging your network from a computer connected to the network, and lookup an arp table. On your computer, click [Start] -> [Run...] and type "cmd" and [Enter]. Type "ipconfig" to find your network address. The network address is found by performing a logical AND operation on your IP address and the subnet mask. For example, if you IP is 192.168.1.101 and subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, then the network address is 192.168.1.0. Ping your network using a broadcast address, i.e. "ping 192.168.1.255". After that, perform "arp -a" to determine all the computing devices connected to the network. One of the IP found is your networked printer.
5. You may also use "netstat -r" command to find an IP address of all network routes. However, if your printer has problem communicating with other network devices, you may not be able to find IP address of the printer using "netstat" command.

Thank you for choosing FixYa! have a good one!

Such software products do _NOT_ work -- your IP-address is needed so that any "responses" to TCP/IP packets that you "send" can be delivered "to" your IP-address.
