Picking which is is better. Do you ever give advice as to which model is better or do you do you just say depends on this...or..depends on that.....I answered a question for this dude and now he wants to know?
I'll trade you a fix ya for a fix ya. I can't say that the Panasonic is honestly worth 6 bills more. It maybe. They're both good. I like Vizios but the Panasonic has some nice features. Just a question of whether or not he'll use them. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Re: Which TV IrishD
Like you said, Jeff..at the end of the day, its upto the customer's budget and whether or not he'll actually use the extra features. I personally would prefer the Panasonic. I personally never offer advice on choices, because what I like, may not be what the customer likes..its a matter of personal preference. But in this particular case, I'd go for Panasonic. Why? Better features, better service, easier availability of parts, and better resolution.

The best that I can give you is at this link: http://hopeafrica.tv/index.php/component/content/article/40-schedules/202-dstv .
It should be noted that Africa does not have digital tv so you should probably hook an antenna to the tv without the box and have the tv search for analog tv stations as that will stand the best chance of picking up what few channels they do have.
Your aerial on the roof need to be pointing towards one of the transmitters for the TV region you want. That might not be practical though. If your local transmitter is the hugely powerful Emley Moor (Look North / Yorkshire TV), and you're trying to pick up the far more distant and less powerful Talconeston for Look East from Lincolnshire you won't stand a chance. What little signal reaches you will be swamped out by Emley Moor.
If you're picking up Yorkshire and Licolnshire then it sounds like your aerial is pointed at Belmont ((SW of Louth) or one of the repeater stations at either Grimsby or Lincoln. Depending on your location then a good aerial installer might be able to get you picking up Emley Moor and then retune your TV for you.
We do it all the time there is an adapter I bought one on amazon and have seen others at Target/ Bestbuy/ any electronic store. Depending on weather you want the connection to your TV to be A/V or HDMI they have both. Mine is white in color and it has an IPod/IPad/IPhone connection on one side and the other is either the female end of an HDMI or a female end to and A/V cable with red white and blue. Mine was about $10-$15. Although depending on your TV the clarity will vary depending on which one you get. I have an older TV in my kids play room and the AV cable gives the best picture. However on our newer Plasma TV the HDMI is much better as far as clarity! Hopefully this helps if you need it I can give a link to what I'm talking about.
