Video mode not supported

Your video is set outside the parameters of your monitor.

To fix this, go into the safe mode screen by pressing and continuously tapping the F8 key after you turn on your computer. Select enable VGA mode. The computer will boot into windows using a default and very big 640 x 480 mode, but will allow you to change it to a mode that your monitor can handle.

Powercolor Radeon 9550 R96 256mb Card - Lights on, noone at home!

Depends on the video card ,it might require more power ,200w is fine for onboard but add other components and the system needs more power.
Disconnect the harddrive or CD ROM drive and see if the system will start.
If it starts then you will need more power 300-400w at least but shuttle power supplies can be expensive to get.

The monitor will not support my graphs card

Get new monitor or... reduce the settings of the video card to a setting that the monitor can handle. Boot to Safe mode (tape F8 key every 2 seconds when booting up) which will get you into safe mode which is the lowest setting of the video card. If you have no video in safe mode you have other issues. Once you have video in safe mode slowly incress the video settings. If it goes blank just wait (no keystrokes or mouse movement) for 30-50 seconds and it will revert to the last good video settings automaticaly.

Tryed to reboot my computer and only getting a message saying video mode not supported

When you turn on your computer, press the F8 key to bring up the safe mode menu. Select enable VGA mode, which will put your computer into 40 x 480 mode. Once you're in windows, you can select a video resolution that your monitor will support.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya. Thank you.

VOB files on vista

You have to change it to supported format such as avi or mpg.
Means, you have to "rip" your video.
I use Xilisoft DVD ripper.
But you can try other software.
This one is free:
