Question about Fisher and Paykel DD605HSS 23 in. Built-in Dishwasher

2 Answers

Washer is making grinding noise after start. I found little plastic pieces in the filter in top washer drain. Cleaned it all out including the well which turns the rotating sprayer on. Less noise but it was not eliminated. Is it possible that the drain pump is making the noise? If so how do I get a repair manual to take the pump out and replace it?

    Hello Ginko,

The appliance model is DD603 ZW USA, Serial No 88269 RSM 743676.

The repair manual you emailed does not include that model. Is there much difference?

Would you please email a service/repair manual that covers model DD603.

I could not find list of parts and part numbers. Is that available?

    Thanks

Knocking Sound immediately after start...Hard water caused my rotor to calcify or just fail....I learned this by removing the blue rotor (easy) and twisting it (holding large white flange) - comparing the rotating action to the other well-functioning rotor. If the vinegar bath does not fix it, I will probably by a couple of rotors . May have been caused by a mechanism fail in the rotation assembly. Eric, Valencia CA

Hi.

The pump making noise is a common failure. Before replacing the pump undo pump hoses and ensure that there is no foreign object in there.

Here the full service manual in PDF format.

If the solution was helpful, please do not forget to accept the solution. Feedback is important for us.

the part is a little rubber/plastic bushing that has wore out it is on the shaft coming off of motor to the other unit to work washer u should be able to see this when washer tilted up and see the wore part and is mildly easy fix unless this is a all enclosed unit with engine

Samsung DMR78 dishwasher makes a grinding noise at the beginning of the wash cycle as well as the rinse cycle. Also comes up with the code 9E on occasion.

Check the brackets that hold the top rack for any broken plastic brackets. My dishwasher was making the same noise and after noticing the broken plastic pieces I pulled out the dishwasher put it on its side removed a white panel on the bottom that is attached with two screws, removed the drain line and inside there were two plastic tabs from the broken bracket. Once those were removed the grinding noise stopped. The bracket holding the drain hose can be removed with a pair of pliers.

Bonus, it actually completes a wash cycle and does not stick at 6 minutes, drying forever.

Freakin service tech stated it was the Power Control Board, IDIOT!

While I was in there, I cleaned out the heater blower assembly and sensors. They were full of caked on lint and the sensors had debris all over them.

Also cleaned out all the lint and debris around the rubber seal, this will eliminate those annoying mildew oders.

Hope this helps someone, Happy New Year!
