Emachines E527 wont boot up

restart your computer repeatedly tapping the f8 key to enter safe mode while the screen is black once in safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse allowing you to attempt to repair your computer

you could select the option start at last known configuration that worked this will tell you if and what file has been corrupted or missing then you will know if its a hardware issue

then select restart if the problem still persists f8 back into safe mode you might need to select your operating system to load into safe mode

click start control panel administration tools computer management in the left panel events + to expand then system you will see all errors in right panel right click select properties this will tell

you what has occurred and the time it occurred
you might use the system restore to restore your system to an earlier time click start all programs

accessories system tools you should see your system restore option if it is a hardware issue the system restore might not work

if the system restore fails

test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

one bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

test all power and data leads that attach to your hard drive IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty
computers need data and power to travel through every working device and to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty power connection or faulty fan lead can cause you problems

a motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail

check all electrical power input and extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working

also check the Cmos battery and computer ram modules make sure they are securely seated
on some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in

hope this helps

Noise from computer

It could very well be the noisy fan. Try tapping the computer lightly to see if the noise stops or changes to confirm if it indeed is the fan. Or it could be a noisy HDD.  There is nothing you can do about a noisy HDD but about a noisy fan you can stop worrying as it will cause no probs as long as it is working, noisily or otherwise. You will have to tolerate it. Sometimes it is the detatchable sides of the computer (you wrote 'computer' in your question). See if the noise stops or lessens when you touch the sides a little harder.

Hmmm, Typically safe mode overcomes most errors, You can make changes in MS-Dos, but if all else fails and you fear data loss, daisy chain the hard disk to another computer with matching OS and move the important files then wipe and re-format

Very loud fan!! Sounds like jet engine and make the computer shutoff.

Dont worry Rob5150, this is normal in hp laptops, this should not be bothering u any more. But there are modes in which u can make the fan run either always ON or when required.

Thankyou
