You won't be able to write the pictures back to the card using the camera. Instead you'll need to use an SD card reader in order to do that. A card reader allows both reading and writing to the card. I also highly recommend using a card reader to normally download your pictures as they tend to be much faster and reliable downloads. SD card readers are very inexpensive these days, for example:

I cant see good enough to read my manual, and my camera keeps saving my pictures to my camera memory instead of to my memory card. i want to know how to change this. also i only have like 10 pictures on...

To get your card to work, you must get rid of the pictures in the internal memory. Here's how: with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, insert your card and it should work properly.

How do you put your pictures saved onto your camera onto your memory card?

If you saved the pictures to your cameras built in memory, chances are that you cant transfer the pictures from the camera straight to the memory card. You have to FIRST transfer them to your computer and THAN from your computer to your memory card.

My camera will only take 6 pictures and then it comes up memory full

Seems like the camera used its limited internal memory so it only can save 6 pics. Insert a memory card with proper capacity into your camera so you'll get more space to save your picture.

Hope this help and RATE please !

My dsc-w80 keeps saving all of my pics to the internal memory

Set camera on playback mode, you will see any saved picture in internal memory. Insert memory card and lcd screen will show you either blue screen if memory card has no picture files or will show you picture in memory card. That means memory card is intact with camera and ready to store fresh picture.
Set camera to camera mode and take few fresh pictures and check them in playback mode.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

My cam keeps coming up with memory card write protected. How to get rid of it and also i cant delete any of the pics.

Hi,

You have not mentioned the model number but this will help if your camera takes SD or SDHD cards.

Do you know that the SD card has a little switch on its side?
It is a small sliding thing on the other side from the cut out corner.

If this is in the lock position it will stop you saving your pictures to the card. This is to protect pictures that you want to keep.

To save pictures to the card the switch must be in the up position.

I have a new memory card. I cant get pictures

Your camera is only supporting SD/MMC Cards (up to 1 GB)

The card that you currently have might be faulty. Please try another card.

You might also need to switch the camera over to saving pictures directly onto the SD card.1: Menu, Cam settings, Chose AUTO or SD card option Press OK
Note: If the SD card isn't in the camera or is unreadable the camera will automatically go back to saving you taken pictures on the internal memory.

How to recover the pictures that are taken on lumex digital camera in clip board mode

What you seem to be saying is that the camera has saved some picture files in memory or saved possibly to internal memory. I am not real sure what clip board mode means. Some cameras have internal memory to be able to save some files which can be copied to a card using a menu in play-back mode.
But in a computer, if you turn off the computer after saving something on the clipboard, it is gone forever, unless you have a special add-on program which saves such clipboard files to a database.

Saving Pictures to Memory Card

I want to make sure I understand your question...
When you take pictures, the camera automatically saves them to the memory card.
If you want to copy the photos to your computer, that's easy as well.

There are basically two ways to copy/move pictures from the memory card to your computer.
1) Attach the cable that *may* have come with your camera to the PC and camera's USB ports.
2) Purchase an inexpensive USB card reader. [They sell for around $5-$7.]
2a) Place your memory card in the reader.
2b) Insert the card reader into the USB port on your computer and view the pictures.

Picasa, GIMP and other FREE programs (widely available on the Internet) will allow you to edit the pictures as well.

BTW, if you have a CVS Pharmacy near you, they are offering 50 free prints when you join their photo club. I don't advocate any business, per se, but just thought I'd add that because you might want to print the pictures as well.

I hope this helps. If it does, please rate the solution offered. My goal is always FixYa or Helpful, never TFT or IA. Regards,

Memory card is write protected

Take your memory card out of the camera and switch the position of the little "lock" tab. That should fix it and you can start saving images.

Transfering pictures from my memory card

Hi,
when you connect your camera to the PC.
look in My computer and find the drive ( camera ) probably shows as Drive F:/ G:/ H:/ I:/ or similar.
Right click and open, then copy to folder on desktop, named My-Pictures ( Or similar ) once you,ve copied your photos from memory card to desktop on PC. Format the memory-card. which will erase all data. ( Right Click Format )

This should solve your problem.
