Why wont my fans on my 1993 chevy lumina come on after i changer the radiator?

There are fan relays that sense the coolant temperature and cycle on/off based on temperature. Some cars have 2 radiator fans. If the fans do not come on it's probably a bad relay. The relay/fuse panel is normally under the hood. Check your owners manual for the actual relay location

My cooling fan will not come on car overheats at slow speeds

4 things possibly....fan motor, relay, Temp sensor, or wiring. If you are electrically savvy, jumper the battery directly to the fan to see if it runs, to rule out a bad fan motor. The relay may be bad, and there should be a box full of various relays under the hood. You may be able to swap the fan relay with another known good relay to see if that fixes it. If you are really cheap, and the fan motor is good, just wire it so it comes on when the ignition is on. I did this on an old Escort once, and it worked just fine.

96 honda civic cooling fan is not coming on. The fuse is good. Could it be the relay?

If the fuse is good, it could very well be the relay. To check the relay, remove the relay from plug and use a piece of wire stripped on both ends. Insert the wire into the plug and touch each plug to see if fan comes on. If fan comes ion after testing with wire, then the relay is bad. If fan does not come one, then the fan motor is bad.

My car overheats can't find the fan relay. help where is it?

Does it only overheat while sitting? Then the fan motor or relay could be bad. Just follow the fan motor wiring. It is probably in the relay block center.
The fans do not come on when car is in motion. Then thermostat is bad or coolant is bad or water is bad.

The unit has a fan relay that sometimes goes bad. Check to see of fan is hot or tryimg to start. Might be bad capacitor. Fan relay or relay boards are easy to change.Russ

92 eldorado coolant fans dont come on

the fans have relays that are located in the fuse box under the hood on the driver side. a quick check involves just switching the a/c clutch relay with the fan relay if they turn on when engine is hot the relay is bad. if not that means there is a bad connection or the temp probe is bad. make sure no loose or frayed wires are present. hope this helps. please rate this solution. thank you.
