We want to know the contents of Kleanogik freezer frost remover, There is no listing of this on the size of the bottle.

If you have frost in the freezer, I hate to point out the obvious, but if you dont resolve the cause of the frost buildup, you will only waste your money removing the frost, only to have it return.

Frigidaire side by side frost build-up by ice-maker

I had the same problem. After 6 months I contacted Frigidaire about it. They made arrangements with a local factory service repairman. Be sure you have your model and S/N available. The repairman came to my home, verified the problem and returned a week later and installed the replacement door dispenser. Problem solved.

Split Air Conditioning problem

are you sure it is the liquid line and not the suction line? The small line or the big line. should not have frost on the small line or liquid line. Frost normal on the insulated big line.

I keep finding water coming from underneath the chest freezer.

How old is this chest type freezer. The newer freezers have foamed in place insulation which also prevents moisture from migrating into the insulation. Raising the freezer by putting rollers under it would allow more air circulation under the freezer to evaporate any condensation.

How often is this freezer defrosted? If frost buildup is heavy the gases returning to the compressor will be colder and may cause frost on the compressor suction line which will defrost between run cycles. The frost will melt off of the suction line during the off cycle and could be the cause of the water you are finding.

Off the wall, if you have a male dog he may be doing his thing causing what appears to be water from under the freezer. :)

Our central air has started to not cool. I have looked at the outside unit and lines going from the unit to the inside of the house are frosted. What is the cause and how to fix it?

when lines are frosted you have an air flow problem ie dirty filter or blocked return air grill, fan problem or its low on refrigerant

If it is the larger of the two lines check your filters in your inside unit. Also check to see if the fan is blowing. If both of these are ok most likley you are low on refrigerant.

Hope this helps

Walk-in norlake freezer

Check the evaporator coil for frost buildup on the back. Check for frost on the suction line, the biggest line returning to the compressor. If frost is evident at these places you have a defrost system problem. These systems have a defrost timer that defrosts the coil at preset times. Check the timer for proper operation by marking the position of the dial and check back to see if it changes. If it does not change position the timer motor is most likely bad. If the dial is not rotating automatically you can manually turn the dial in the direction of the arrow and put it through a defrost cycle.

Purchased Goodman 5 ton unit in 2007. The problem we are having is: When you turn the unit on and set it at 76deg. the temp states on the controller it set at 81 deg in the house, BUT it would not cool...

Your system could have lost its refrigerant charge through a leak. Check for visual signs of oil at any soldered joints. This would indicate a leak at a point where some oil is visible. Also check for frost on the big line that returns to the outside unit. If frost is present set you air circulation fan to the on position and turn the cooling to off. Allow the air to circulate for about an hour. Then return the system to the cooling mode. Operate the system when cooling with the fan in the on position in this case.

Compressor lines

If the large line returning to the compressor is frosting you don't have enough air circulation. Check air filters on inside unit.
