Try to put paper in the manual feedd tray. If it prints, then put more paper in the auto-load tray, if that doesn't work, check the EXACT location of the clips and position indicators that indicate what size of paper is inthe tray. They may have moved, just slightly out of alignment. That has happened to me. Other than that, it may need new pick-up rollers.
Hope that helps.

I have a HP f2430 printer.the light keeps flashing with out of paper after i load it with paper. there are no paper jams and i cleaned the rollers. what else can i do?

Try turning the printer off and then on.
If your using alot of paper. Try decreasing the number of papers. 10 - 15 should be okay. And make sure the papers are properly fitted in the paper tray.
When you try to print, as soon as the printer does its motions like it wants to pick up the paper, try pushing one paper in and see if it picks it up.

Easyshare 500 printer

Be sure the paper tray is full.  Though not a satisfactory solution, I've found the little steel tab that lifts the paper up to be grabbed by the roller just doesn't lift it far enough.  I keep the paper tray full.  Now I only have the problem if I let the tray get down to only one or two sheets.

Loading paper from top.

there is a button to press to swap it from the back tray and the bottom tray. it sounds like you might have some thing stuck in the rear feeder causing the paper not to go through. i would try it from the bottom feeder and see if it works,

might be worth turning the machine off and unplug it and then try turning it upside down and shaking the machine, to see if anything come out of it.

If not i would say to take it apart or call a service engineer out.

Hope this helps

Paper Jam

try this

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
  4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
  6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
  8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
  10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved.

alternative :
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.

Naffed printer

Are there any small fragments of paper still in the paper path? I would inspect closely. Also on this printer, look at the back part of the printer and see if there is a little door that you can open to check and see if paper remains there. There is either paper there, or the paper feed sensor is blocked or damaged.
