SOURCE: Evaporator Defrost System 53552

this unit does not have a hot gas def system but rather a pulsed def where the heater will kick on for a few minutes every so often to see how frosted up the coil is. the draw back is that they are having problems with the control board keeping the compressor and condensor motor on during the def cycle, thus ending up with a solid ice build up in the coil..

Is it possible for the kelvinator freeser to "quick defrost"?

It has a defrost control on it that puts the unit into the defrost cycle four to six times a day for 15 to 30 minutes, that is all, no other defrost.

N520 fridge is leaking water onto the floor

Clean the drain situated at back (inside) of fridge cabinet (not the freezer). Use a piece of expanding wire about 1 meter long to get around the 90degree bend and into the water tray sitting on top of
compressor.
This pipe often gets blocked with food particles.
If problem persists it is usually the defrost cycle being too long and in this case the defrost cut-off sensor will need to be replaced .

I have a Kelvinator Reverse Cycle air conditioner - Model # KSR25F-01. When I use the heating operation the "Defrost Mode" has come on and is stopping the air conditioner from working. The unit...

The Kelvinator technician came out and found that our gas was very low indicating that there was a leak somewhere - the gas should never deplete apparently (being a closed system). He checked inside and outside and couldn't find a leak so assumed it must have been an issue with the piping in the walls. He recommended not spending the money to get it repaired - he recommended it be replaced (not a cheap option but it was 11 years old and repairing wasn't likely to be cheap or a long term solution). So not sure if that is your problem but hope it helps!

On a Paragon 8145-20 Defrost Timer, I know you land the refrigeration circuit on terminal 4, the heater on terminal 3, but what goes on terminal "X" and terminal "N"

Link below has 8145-20 wiring diagram:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Paragon-timers-and-manuals.html#defrost

Terminal N is 2nd wire needed to complete circuit.
In 240V 8145-20, there are two hot wires.
One Hot connects to terminal 1, with jumper to terminal 2.
Second Hot connects to terminal N, and this will power the clock motor and timer.
Terminal X is for temperature or pressure termination switch.

Defrost cycle works like this:
Timer is running but switched OFF.
Refrigeration fan is ON.
Timer switches ON, defrost cycle begins.
Refrigeration fan turns OFF.
Hot gas defrost turns ON.
When temperature-or-pressure limit switch reaches trip point, it switches timer OFF.
Refrigeration fan turns ON again.
Hot gas defrost turns OFF.
