I would go to your local parts house and ask for a New Clutch Pak
which should have a new clutch disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing and a pilot bearing and a alinement tool. Than I would see if they have a replacement flywheel. The reason for the fly wheel is due to hot spots and uneven wear on the fly wheel. If you do not replace your flywheel or have it machined you will get chattering everytime you step on clutch

My clutch went out on my 2002 pt cruiser and it is a Manuel. Transmission 4 cylinder.. is replacing a clutch a very difficult job and how many hours

Yes, but mainly for the equipment required. A tip would be to buy the part yourself first. It's an all-in-one part and costs vary...here in England they are £330 (just the part) and the job is easily done in under a day. Again....up a ramp with good knowledge of clutches.

Clutch disk or pressure plate or both are worn out, and I would replace the throw out bearing. You can buy a kit at autozone or kragen that has everything all together 100-200 dollars.

My car sat for about 5 months in the yard. Clutch and transmission are new rebuilt. Went to move the car clutch went to the floor and stayed there. What can I do?

Sounds like you either need to bleed the clutch slave cylinder, or you need to rebuild or replace the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. You might want to check with the shop that replaced the clutch and rebuilt the transmission. It may be covered under their warrantee.

Sounds to me like there is an alignment issue witht he clutch disk. DId they buy a clutch kit with install tool? If not then good chance its not aligned and will need to come back out to align. you can also pick up a universal clutch alignment tool from autoparts store.

Unless you can find a way to route a different belt to go around all necessary pulleys without the a/c compressor, the only thing I can think of is to buy a junkyard unit and install it without freon, leaving the compressor clutch plug disconnected 'till you can get home to do the job right. Even if you need to buy the tools to do the job it's still cheaper than towing or a shop repair. Changing the compressor bearing requires special tools that you likely dont have in your back pocket!!

Clutch problem

Likely need to buy a new clutch cable and install, and adjust for proper freeplay, and also possibly address the hole in the firewall .The hole needs to be looked at to make sure it is not oversized, cracked, bent,or otherwise unable to retain the cable.
