theres no internet connection to the compaq evo n610c when i hook up my home desk top phone internet connection jack into the port of the pc.Is there something i need to enable or the port is not working?

I have the same problem. Phone line doesnt seem to connect properly into laptop, if I use the ethernet connection from my modem on my pc it works, but not directly from phone line to laptop???? Can anyone help???

Is this "Phone internet connection" adsl or dialup?

ApprenticeYou need to check if its a Modem enabled, if its a dialup u need to call the ISP and reset the settings and if its a Modem and DSL u need to use the cable fromthe modem not the telephone cable directly.
