First clean out all lint build up in the exhaust venting tubing and try it out. If clogged up heat will be in the check mode caused by the moister sensor detecting it

If its clear and still no heat check the spark ignitor next

  • hidesertpatr Sep 16, 2010

ftw, thanks for the help, I just checked the exhaust and its clear.
Where would I find the igniter, I think your on the right track.
I can hear gas rushing through the burners, but its not being ignited.

Follow the gas line to the very end of the large tube opening to the burners mouth. You will see a electronic control at that end which is the spark ignitor

Dryer is not heating

It's possible that the heating element is bad. Also, make sure you don't have the dryer set on low heat.

Thermal Fuse/No Heat- Where is it??

We were drying pillows and the thermal elements tripped. I took the panel off of the back of the dryer. The screwdriver uses a hex head (Lee Valley Tools). There are 3 thermal switches. Pushing the button at the center of each switch resets the unit. Our Miele is now running again which saves me a $200 service call.

Dryer works fine but does not heat up

Hi, looks like there's 1 of 2 faults. Either the stats or the heating element. They are located at the back of the TD, covered bi a screwed panel. If you have a multimeter, turn it to buzz and check the connections. If the meter buzzes it's ok, if the meter doesn't buzz it's dead and needs replacing.

NO heat but dryer tumbles and touch screen works

HI,
the problem with your dryer might be that there is a filter near the back (inside)if this is blocked you will not get any heat.
if the filter is clean and you still dont get any heat, then it might be dust on the heating element, or there is a temp cut out fuse if this gets to hot it will cut out the heat,it can be replaced if you know what you are doing then you can get one from maplin electronics, the fuse is at the back of the dryer you will have to take off the back to get to it,it looks like a piece of metal with wire ends (hard pieces of wire each end)if you have a meter this can be checked, this is a last resort before you can some one out..i hope this will help.all the best..Lee Bruce..
