Hi there erverytime i go to make a phone call or send a txt the number comes up as an overseas number, it just started diong that in the last day-however i think it is due to my playing around with it and i mucked up one of the settings. the phone was purchased in the states last year, but it works well here in new zealand, that is - till i may have messed it up. could you please help me to fix this? thanks Linz

I can't send or receive sms to/from overseas numbers

for sending text messages :
1.go to your message settings and check the message center number to see if it is correct
2. call to your network operator customer care
3. request the message center number...
4.note it down
5. go to message settings>message center number
6. insert the number which is noted by you and save it

this solves your messaging problem ...

My Nokia e51 wont send txt msg's, it used to be

there is a service center number in your message setting. if it is edited your messages wont go . correct service center can be taken from your service provider. if that is right the reset your phone once it will start working fine.

Cannot txt out

there are 2 reasons..just remove your sent items of txt that will give you low memory u can send message.
otherise also check ur service centre number in message setting..

Hi , The settings for this function are stored on the phone via txt message from your service provider (virgin).When you use your sim in a different phone all you do is request settings to be resent and install from the options that come with the message , check the phones/sim stored numbers for virgin to txt "get settings" , or check online for the number to request

Security Code problem

hi,
The default security code for Nokia is 12345.

You can recover the password. The best way is to download a file manager to your phone. I use Best Fileman for my N70, from http://www.smartphoneware.com/ It’s for series 60and 40. The trial version should be enough.
In the file manager (when installed on your phone) you’ll find under- C:\System\mmcstore -the file you’re looking for, you have to rename the file- mmcstore.txt -then send it to another mobile (best way) or your PC via luetooth or USB, open it on the other phone and your password will be revealed.
Rename that file- mmcstore.txt -to just- mmcstore -there might be another file named- mmcstore.txt -to view your password rename one or the other- mmcstore1.txt -one is for your phone PIN number the other your MMC card. If you reset (format) your phone you will lose all the data stored on it. Resetting sometimes gives negative results. You can reset it through your menu, if you can switch the phone on of course.
Using the reset code is not recommended,so keep it the last chance.
Try this for hard format:
Take your SIM card out.
Make sure your phone battery is fully charged.
Press * 3 send at the same time and turn the phone on. Keep them pressed until the reset screen appears.
Give it time to reset.

Phone help.

You have to use the message center number from the network provider.
You can only use one network at a time, to use a second network you'll have to change the message center number.
IE. Vodafone msg center number 12345678 to send Vodafone txt.
T-mobile msg center number 87654321 to send T-mobile txt.

Hi,

Your phone settings is corrupted.So you have to just take it to factory settings so your
problem will be solved.

1. BlackBerry Pearl, go to Options
2. Select Security Options
3. Select General Settings
4. Press the button located left of the trackball
5. Finally, select Wipe Handheld

Note:Please take backup of contacts and phone memory details.
