Matshita dvd ram uj 850 s ATA Device reading... (by 9 users)
I own a Toshiba Satellite A200-23M running with windows vista home premium,model with a matshita dvd ram uj 850 s ATA Device.The problem occurs when i enter a cd of any type in the driver as it appears that i have not entered anything in the driver.But as it has to do wit dvds they run properly in my driver.I have the laptop for just a month.Can you help me?

toshiba satelite A215 Vista home premium...drive is shown on my computer..insert any disk weather original or burned...cd or dvd and starts to read the disk...think light blinks then goes steady on like drive has frozen...have reset to factory defaults and still don't work have tried the registry edit still don't work..reinstalled the drive completely and still don't work...any ideas?? less than a month old.

just got a sattelite 200 had it 2 weeks and the cd/dvd drive says it cant read the disc, d: not accessable, because of a I/O device error

Hi I have the same dvd drive in my compac presario v3000. I have had this laptop for the better side of 18 months and I too have the problem that dvd and cds don't read in the drive. Not aure what to do. any uggestions?

I have a Vaio VGN-N365E notebook with a MATSHITA DVD RAM UJ-850S dvd/cd driver that is not working anymore. I get the message, driver corrupted error 39.

I have a laptop A100-088 which uses matshita UJ-850. when I run a cd or a dvd ,it doesn't open up. mystery!!!

I have an IBM Lenovo 7732a13 with a Matshita uj 850 where the DVD doesn't work. Device manager is reporting that it can't load the device driver Code 39.
That driver is definitely loaded. What next?
