Question about Nokia 2720 Fold Cell Phone

Open Question

My Nokia 2720 screen turns white and blinks when I try to go into the Messaging section of the phone. I cannot access my inbox or anything. I want to read my texts but whenever I go to Messaging, it goes white, blinks a couple times and goes back to the main menu. \r\n I have the manual and I've looked up things online but I cannot find anything to fix this problem.

SOURCE: i830 nextel help

ok you need to call web support at nextel, they need to fix your texting. most likely you put your sim card into another nextel model. they need to clear it up in the back end they might need to verify your serial number and update it.

SOURCE: razr v3m text problem

This is a known issue with both the RAZR and KRZR phones. Motorola is supposed to be working on a software update to fix the issue permanently, and when that is released you can take your phone in to your nearest store (Verizon or whoever your carrier is) and they can update the software for you.

In the meantime there is a temporary fix:
- From the main messaging screen (left soft key when you're at your home screen on Verizon phones) open up the settings (right soft key).
- Choose the option for all types of messages (should be the first option)
- Find the Auto-Erase setting and turn it on.
- Power down the phone either by holding the power button (end call button) or removing the battery.
- Turn the phone back on, then go back through the same menus and turn Auto-Erase back off.

This will let you use your texting functions once again. Remember that this is only a temporary fix, so the issue may resurface!

With this problem, you should be able to Delete the SENT msgs by either going to the sent menu, and choosing OPTIONS, and delete all, if the option is not there, you may need to delete them under the Settings on the phone, for the SENT ADDRESS, you should be able to simply chose either back/delete any of those options should work well. Please let me know how it goes

SOURCE: Blue screen on main display

Hi. this reoccurring error is due to programing and hardware failure. you will need to remove the battery for 5 minute. if the error continues after you re insert the battery, this will confirm this fault in the hardware. your phone will require repair in this case.

It is a s40 phone. try texting it, see if it will lead you to your inbox without accessing menu button. then when you are in the inbox, delete everything you can. first of all we are not yet pretty sure it is a memory problem. but in worst case scenario, you can have it re-flashed by a cellphone technician.

Message inbox was full, now cannot access anything

You should first delete files in your phone gallery manually before you go to your inbox. Delete pictures, videos or something that you don't need in your phone memory. Restart your phone to refresh the system.
Hope this could help you alot Thanks..

Check out this link below to download a PDF manual, software, and more for your phone. Just copy and paste into your browser.

http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/mobile/mobile-phones/at-t-phones/SGH-A777EGAATT/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=support

Check out the section on Messaging page 65 in your manual:
Important!: When creating a message, adding an image, a sound file, or a video clip to a text message changes the message from a text
message to a multimedia message.

Important!: Adding an image, a sound file, or a video clip to a text message changes the message from a text message to a multimedia
message. This also changes the Options that appear in this menu.

Note: A multimedia message should only be sent to a phone which can
support the receipt and display of this message type.

Note: If you exit from this View screen, you will need to go to the Messaging ➔ Inbox screen, the Recent Calls screen, or you will need to dial your Voicemail contact to access your messages.

Note: Messages can also be accessed by navigating to your Inbox (Menu ➔ Messaging ➔ Inbox).

Messaging Settings page 72 in your manual:
You can set up various options for using messaging services.
1. When the Idle screen displays, press the Menu soft key,
then select Messaging ➔ Messaging Settings.
2. Select the type of message settings that you want to
change.
• Text Message
• Multimedia Message
• Voice Mail
• Push Message
• Broadcast Message (SIM card dependent)
3. Press the Select soft key or the key.

Hope this helps, let me know if I can help you with anything else. It would be very kind of you if this does work for you to please rate me or leave a short note. I would really appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

Can't access anything on Nokia 6300. It locked up and gives message of: (Message storage memory not ready) No Nokia place around to take it to. Please help!

The phone's memory is full, which causes the error message and lock ups. This error prevents you from freeing up memory by deleting messages.

Try the following (taken from the Nokia support forum): http://discussions.nokia.co.uk/discussions/board/message?board.id=hardware&thread.id=7775

1. Delete unused names/numbers from the address book to free up memory. (Perhaps write down the ones you want to keep for later re-entry)
2. Once a critical threshold is reached the msg inbox indicator will blink on
3. Enter inbox and DELETE as many messages as you can before phone freezes up again
4. If phone freezes or you get the error message again, restart and keep deleting from the phone book until it allows you hassle-free msg inbox access as per normal (but don't forget to continue deleting thos messages).

This is not a problem. All cell phones when switched on it takes some time for the sim card to get ready.Although you can transfer your contacts to your phone memory to avoid it.
