Entire back of the machine comes off and the barrel comes out after that it's just getting everything back together.. keep all screws seperated (cover, lids, mounts) as you dont want to mix them up and could damage something.. By no means this is easy.. but a good tech'y person you may know can do it..

Start button starts dryer and dryer stops when button is released.

Ge dryers have a belt sensing switch inside that won't let the dryer run (just as you describe) when the belt breaks or comes off. My guess is you broke a belt. With door open---hold in button door switch and hit the start switch to get it too run a few seconds. Watch the drum and see if it turns. My guess it will not. Belt is a long skinny band that goes all around the drum outer area and then down around the motor.

My GE stackable washer is pouring out water while filling up, when spinning makes horrible noise and tub goes crazy

The issue is that a shock or spring that balances the tub has come loose and pulled a hose off when it broke. So the shocks or the springs are bad. The hose might be able to just be put back on.

GE evolution dryer has intermitent squeeling!

Is the belt slipping? Check and see if it is worn. Open door, remove 2-4 screws at 12:00 position, lift up cover. The belt is the little band wrapped around the big thing.
