SOURCE: wire not feeding correctly

Check for the correct tip size first. Too small or too large portal will jam wire in the tip. Check for correct wire speed for amperage used, too fast or too slow coupled with the distance from work piece will do the same. Check for wire condition, if the wire is rusted......you do the math. Check polarity......DECEP vs. DECEN for the type of materials welded. ARE YOU USING AN ANTI-SPATTER AGENT? Build-up of spatter can cause early arc. Lastly, is the wire tension too high? The wire should not feed at all even with the motor drive unit running if the wire has fused to the tip, that leads to a kinking of the wire behind the feeder (spool side).......check also the backlash adjustment to keep the wire from spinning off the spool under load. Too tight will cause the outer cladding of the wire to strip off the core wire which will cause the core to adhere to the tip.

SOURCE: Just purchased and tried to

have you tried adjusting the tension on the flux wire? before you start feeding the wire into it make sure there isnt any kinks in the wire. seems like it doesnt take much for it to bind up once you get start welding with it im sure you will run into this problem quite allot. usually its from welding the wire to the tip. i have to be honest it can ve a pain in the ***

SMALL PUDDLES NO PENATRATION WELDER IS FARM HAND 115 VOLT MIG//FLUX CORE WIRE FEED PUT ON ANY SETTING NO DIF CANT FIND MODLE IT HAS CHPOWER.COM WEB ADDRESS

Hi:

If you are using flux core wire you need to switch the polarity of the machine. With flux core wire, your ground clamp becomes positive (lead) and your gun the ground. All you need to do is switch the cables above the feed rolls.

That will take care of the problem

When i weld with my wire feed it pulses what am i doing wrong

you need to ether turn up the wire speed or turn down the heat, also with a flux core you have to be very close to your work. don,t forget your mask!!

My welder does'nt feed a constant feed motor seems to slow down and wire pushes my hand away when hitting metal.

If wire pushes your hand away when welding you need to do one of the following:
Reduce your wire speed, or increase the voltage.

My wire feed is not working. there seems to be a crimp in the line leaving the welder. what is the best fix?

If the "line" leaving the welder is the weld gun the crimp could be that the liner in the gun lead is indeed crimped. This will not allow the wife to feed from the gun.
Remove the gun from the welder and see if you can push or pull the flux wire in/out of the gun. If you cannot then remove the liner and replace it. If the crimp is too bad you may not be able to evem remove the liner. If that is the case yo may have to replace the gun. Hope this helps.

Difficulty changing the wire

check the tension on your drive rolls. Also check if the drive rolls are correct for that wire size.

Flux wire on Dual Mig Welder not feeding.

Change the contact tip. This is the most common problem. The tip gets burned and keeps the wire from feeding. You should always have extra tips on hand.
