BIOS Crash

My EEE PC was having BIOS problems such as not seeing the USB devices when attached and it would just start malfunctioning during use of the USB devices. It was in the process of a BIOS update and the entire system just crashed entirely. Now, it doesn't do anything at all. The power light comes on, sometimes the WIFI light briefly lights up, but I get nothing on the screen period. I followed some of the advice from form users that told me to download a BIOS to a flash drive and start the system with the flash drive plugged in and wait about five or ten minutes then restart. Nothing happens. When I first start the machine, the flash drive lights up a few times and then I still get no other activities from the machine. Since it has been modded (it worked after the mods) I'm assuming that ASUS will not honor the warranty. I would appreciate any help or advice. Thanks.
