Please go to Tools. Internet Options. Advanced tab then click reset Internet Explorer. Click yes then restart your computer. Should be fixed after that!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox?
For Firefox....
Main tab -> View ->Toolbars
and make sure the Navigation Toolbar has a checkmark beside it.
A window will pop up on the top right of the toolbar, it has a drop down button on the left side. Select manage Search Engines.
Select Google, and move up to the top, this is the default.

Main Tab ->Tools ->Options ->General
will allow you to set your homepage defaults

Why do I get untitled when opening google chrome search

Are you running ie8 ?

Internet Explorer 8 suffers a glitch involving high-contrast themes for the Windows desktop and other "theme-skinning" software. Themes change the way components of the Windows operating system appears. When Internet Explorer 8 is installed for the first time, certain themes such as "Classic" can trigger a defect in the browser which makes the toolbar and window frame appear to be solid black. The glitch is only temporary and is removable by switching themes.

Press "WIN" and "R" at the same time. Type "services.msc" into the "Run" Dialog box and Press "Enter". Scroll down the list of services until you see "Themes" service. Stop it by right-clicking it and selecting "Stop". This forces the visual effects for Windows to be disabled temporarily. Close any Internet Explorer windows that may be open. In the "Services" list, right-click "Themes" and select start. This will reset and re-enable visual effects for the Windows operating system. Right-click the desktop and select "Properties". In the "Properties" dialog box, click the "Themes" tab if it is not selected. On the drop down list, change the theme to an alternative item on the list. Click "Apply". Once the theme has changed, click the drop down list again and change it back to the original theme. Click "OK" to any open dialog boxes. Open up Internet Explorer to test the browser. If the toolbar appears normal, the issue has been resolved. If they still appear black, reboot the computer and test Internet Explorer again.

Get oops the link appears to be broken with every search

Does it make any difference if you go to a specific IP address or to a website name? Like if you try to go to http://Yahoo.com what happens? Or trying to go to http://69.147.114.224 (also Yahoo)? Do the same results come in? If not the same then you need to find a new Domain Name Server (DNS) and your Internet Provider has this information. This information may also be determined by your Router settings.

Use Firefox.  Explorer is riddled with more holes than swiss cheese, but if you insist.  Uninstall explorer, then, download the latest edition of explorer.

Open explorer

click tools

click advanced tab

click reset & apply

now go to security tab and make sure they are all at default (press each icon, there are 4, and make them default if not already set as)

restart explorer.

if problem persistes them it's most likely your firewall.

Let me know how it goes?
