Ok I tried the shut-down and everything you told me to do and it's still the same. Any other idea's. ( It's making me nuts)

Thanks for the number. I called the tech line and they said the coils are going out. I have taken the cover off and unpluged everything I could find. I left it unplugged over night I will try it again to night and if it doesnt work I have to buy another. Thanks for your help. I would recommend you for service anyday.

    Thank again

The feature will be called Auto Adjust on your osd menu, I'm not quite sure where exactly it will be but by clicking on this within the menu will fit it perfectly to your screen. It possibly will even be it's own button on the screen. Since I am not totally familiar with this exact model, I can't be more specific but if you are having trouble, please let me know the options and I can tell you where to look since all monitors are basically the same.

look in an other or special option menu selection for the auto adjust, they won't always be in the size and position as it resets everything. It could also be a button on the front of the screen like I said before. You could also try leaving the screen unplugged overnight and it should reset. If nothing is changing then you may be in the OSD lock. To get out of the lock you need to hold the menu button down until it unlocks, usually around 10 seconds. Let me know where we are at with this, thanks

Since I can't think of why it shouldn't work, I would call this number and see if they have faced this problem before (800) 688-6688

Also, when you unplugged it, was it for a few minutes or hours, try 3 hours just in case it is holding power somehow

OSd lock keeps on poping up on my screen, i ihave viewsonic monitor. how can i solve this problem?

You are having a problem with the OSD lock on your ViewSonic Monitor. Is that correct?
If so, please follow these instructions to unlock or lock your monitor.
On some display devices, there is an OSD Lock that locks all current control settings and prevents access to the control menus until this mode is unlocked.
The method for unlocking the OSD is different for different monitors, but will be one of the 2 below. If the first method doesn't work, try the second.
Method 1: Press and hold both the [1] button on the front of the monitor and the down arrow button for 10 seconds.
Method 2: Press and hold both the [1] button on the front of the monitor and the up arrow button for 10 seconds.
Note: These same buttons, when pressed for another 10 seconds, will lock the OSD

Please let us know if you require any further help with this matter.

If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take a moment to kindly rate this post....thanks!

Assuming this is a E70fB monitor
OSD Unlock : Press and hold the [1] and [▼] buttons again for 5 seconds. The message “OSD UNLOCK” will then display briefly, indicating that the OSD image settings are now unlocked.
