Unlock ipod

IPods are noted for their ease and portability, which is what makes them such a popular item. No matter how wonderful an electronic item is, there may come a time when it needs to be reset, and a 4th generation iPod is no exception.

There are situations when an iPod may freeze up such as when it is disconnected from the computer without being properly ejected in iTunes first.

A reset is not as extensive as a restore, so you will not lose any data that is already on the device.

Resetting the iPod is a very simple process that takes only seconds to complete.

Make sure the "Hold" switch is in the off position.

The "Hold" switch is on the top left of your iPod casing.

Move the "Hold" switch to "On" and then immediately back to "Off."

Press and hold the round button in the center of the click wheel and at the same time press and hold the "Play" button.

Hold both buttons down for 6 to 10 seconds or until the "Apple" logo appears on the screen.

Stop holding the center button and the "Play" button. Your iPod Nano 4th generation has now been reset.

hope this helps

Microsoft Zune Reset and Recovery

You have 2 options when your Zune is acting up;
When dealing with MS tech support, you may be advised to reset your player as part of a troubleshooting effort...This is called a soft-reset.

With your Zune turned on, press and hold the back (left) button and the "Up" button on the control pad at the same time. Your player will reset itself.

When a soft-reset doesn't work...

Under rare circumstances you may need to reformat your player. (Typically you wouldn't do this only when directed to by Zune technical support.)

First, press and hold the back (left) button and at the same time press and hold the "up" button on the control pad.

The player will start to reset; as soon as it does, hold down the back button, center button, and right button at the same time.

Your player will then inform you that it is deleting all media on device, and your Zune should revert to the "way it was" when you first pulled it out of the box - except that you will lose the pre-loaded content.

You will lose all the songs and video you've loaded it with...but the software apps it came from the store with will still be there.

I washed my sansa clip, it worked for a while but then it stopped and would not turn on, except briefly when i held the power button. then i accidently deleted the firmware. now i cannot get it to do...

Holding down the power button and the small button on the front, upper right of the big button for about twenty seconds forces a reset of some sort. I have one of these.

How do i get my cd out from my LG LFD850 everytime i press eject it says it's locked

ok what you should do is 1. turn off the unit.
2.Unplug the unit from the power source and disconnect all other input cable connections if possible.
3. then press and hold the power on/off button for 45 seconds. (this should discharge all electricity inside the unit allowing it to reset itself.)
4. after the 45 seconds have passed, proceed to plug back in all of the connections, then the power cable.
5. turn the unit on and hold the eject button for 30 seconds.
Now depending on when your unit was produced instead of holding the eject button for 30 seconds you may need to hold the stop button for 30 seconds and it should be fixed
what this should have done is reset the unit and reset the cd drive allowing your disk to be ejected.
.
If you need further assistance please feel free to follow up with a comment and i will be here to assist you. If this assisted you please feel free to rate the comment 4 thumbs up. thanks and have a great day.

Working ..except for blank screen (No backlight)

You might have the hold button on look at the sides of your mp3 player and if you see any orange then that means the lock is on. slide the hold button down until their is no orange showing and it should work just fine. I also recomend hitting the reset button which is located on the back of the p2

Will not turn on.

I read of the following fix for the nomad II, you could try and see if it works for you: 1. Turn unit to "locked" position. 2. Hold down the "stop" button. 3. Continue to hold the "stop" button, take the battery out of the unit. 4. Still holding down the "stop" button, put the battery back in. 5. Continue holding down the "stop" button until a screen comes up with "backup code", wait a few minutes and then switch unit to unlock and take out a battery. 6. Put the battery back in and you should have a working unit. There have also been reports of loose terminals within the unit causing the batteries to not make good contact. Be sure the batteries are in tight. Does it turn on when connected to PC? if so you could try updating the firmware. Good luck
