When we push the level for ice cubes on our KitchenAid, it waits a second or so before starting. Does anyone know why this is or if there is a solution for it?

be a liitle patient ,if it is a fairly new appliance be grateful it's working properly.
All laughter aside : check the ice bucket that the ice falls into and it may be that the ice is clumping up and not in line with the auger that pulls it to you.
