The dishwasher is making odd noises when the wash cycle starts. The noises last for a few minutes then seems to settle down until the rinse cycle starts. It washs the dishes fine and there is no water left in the dishwasher after the complete cycle.

Hard objects such as bone, plastic ware, glass, seeds, fruit pits, nuts, egg shells may have lodged in the filter area of the dishwasher or in the sump/water module.

Check the bottom of the dishwasher for debris. Carefully, remove any of these objects if they can be seen at the bottom of the dishwasher. Caution: Foreign objects may be sharp.

Note: The noise should stop within 2-3 cycles after object is ground up. If noise continues after 2 or more cycles a technician may need to remove debris from the sump or pump area

Note: Items such as bone or other hard objects should be scraped from the dishes PRIOR to loading them in the dishwasher.

yes its a bad inlet valve. sometimes you can turn down the house valve the washer is connected to a little to stop the noise.othe then that replace the inlet valve.

Kenmore washing machine model 110 wash cycle stops

DOES IT DO THIS ON EVERY WASH OR SOMETIMES? IF SOMETIMES, CHECK LID SWITCH( THERE'S A LITTLE HOLE WHEN YOU OPEN THE LID, ON THE LID SHOULD HAVE A LITTLE PLASTIC PIECE THAT GOES IN THAT HOLE. THE SWITCH IS UNDER, INSIDE THAT HOLE. YOU CAN GET A PEN OR KEY TO SEE IF IT'S BROKEN.)

Noisy vibrating sound from bottom RHS of dishwasher

I have a new Hotpoint and have the same problem, I am told from Hotpoint that there is too much foam being generated and the pump makes this noise trying to pump the foam, the answer seems to be cut down on the detergent, or make sure the dishes are very dirty and greasy when you put them in as this cuts down the foam, I have just tried this and it does seem to work.
Never had a problem with the last 2 dishwashers always put the dishes in well rinsed, it must be new programing.
Hope this helps.

Mold growing on dishes

Recommend that you run another cycle with no DW soap aded, waiting until the dishwasher has filled with hot water and begins to do the first wash cycle. Then add 1/2 cup of bleach to the water and close the door. Allow the cycle to finish. Run it normally with a standard load of dirty dishes. Note: These high efficiency dishwashers count on the "dirt" of the dirty dishes to help wash/clean the dishes. Recommend you not rinse/wash the dishes before you put them in the dishwasher.

Watch for any occurrence of the black dots and repeat the bleach treatment.

Dishwasher makes noise during drain cycle

This really isn't a solution, but I found info on Whirlpool's site that the noise could be caused by the disposer and food or something in it. They said to use it a few cycles and see if the noise goes away, so that's what I'm doing. I always rinse dishes before going into the dishwasher, so don't really think there could be food particles etc. causing the problem, but we'll see. Not anxious to pay for a possible solution unless through a repair person. Thanks for your reply.

Loud grinding/scraping/rattling noise at rinse cycle

The balance sensor is likely failed.

Check the shock absorbers and springs for breakage.

Diswasher motor making noise during wash cycle

It could be the impeller on the motor. The impeller fits over the shaft of the motor and might have split/broken up. That funny noise is probably the shaft spinning inside the damage impeller. Fortunately the impeler is fairly inexpensive and easy to replace. I believe there are one or two parts/covers to remove that are held in by a roughly half dozen torx screws.

The correct way to start the wash cycle

we have just purchased a Fagor dishwasher also - the instruction manual is worthless.

in regards to the 2 thin tubes, we just inserted them in the gallon jugs that the soap/rinse agents comes in and it works fine. just make sure the clear tube without the label goes in the rinse agent and the labeled tube goes in the soap jug. we did drill a hole in the top cap of the jugs and pushed the line thru and that helped keeping the tubes in the jugs and minimized the mess if the jugs fell over.

in regards to the temperature problem, we found that running it thru a couple of cycles before you start the actual dishes helped get the water temperature up faster. it seems to like to start with normal tap hot water first, so the 1st couple of cycles get the cold water out of the line.

It just the pump noise. Since your dishwasher works properly you can ignore this noise.
