SOURCE: Using the 2nd hard drive
Not without you saying what OS you're using, how you want to use it in applications, and how you wanted to attach it to the machine if it's not already installed.
I mean, offhand I'd say if you have 2 free bays in there, to either use those or mount that drive (along with a generally identical one) in Zalman drive coolers in the case, connect them so you can use SCA RAID 0 on them, set that RAID up, format to XFS or another choice filesystem, and start using it then.

SOURCE: Sony Vaio sart up problem
This type of problem is likely be a hardware problem. The porwer supply is shutting down, but not the CPU Fan for heat protection. You ha to do a maintenance job first. Disconnect and open up the computer, first touch the chassis to discharge any static charge you may have. Clean every thing inside, do not remove the CPU heat sink.
When all is cleaned. Troubleshoot!
At this point, I strongly recommend call a Tech for Second Opinion.

the first thing i would do is to boot into safe mode than uninstall driver detective. than after this is done,, go to device manager and see if there is any problems with the sound card if so uninstall it with device manager and it will reinstall it automatically than you should be ok
