My hp psc 1200 printer will not cancel a print job, so is holding up the queue. I have tried several different things to no avail. The item that will not cancel was something I tried to print off a web site.

Can't cancel a HP PSC 750 Printer print job.

Hi,
Right click on MyComputer and click Manage. Then go to Services and Applications and then Services. Find the Print Spooler services in the list and right click to stop it. When it is stopped try to cancel the document again. Then start the print spooler service again.

From Printers and Faxes window

2. Right click again the printer icon then select "Cancel All" print jobs.
3. Once it's cleared, right click the printer icon again and then "Set Printer Online".

Or, restart the computer and the printer.

Item won't cancel out of print queue. How do I

I have run in to this more times then I would care to count. Unfortunately, what worked one time did not necessarily work on a different computer and sometimes even on the same one. If, after several reboots, the problem still exists, disconnect the printer from the computer. Try again and reboot one more time and try.
If that fails, make sure you have the cd with the drivers or go to HP's website and make sure they are available.
Delete the printer! Reboot 2 times.
At this point, the queue should be gone. Reinstall the printer, reattaching it when asked.

Ihave a deskjet d1341 hp printer but I have jobs on that i want to cancel so i don't waste my ink, how do i do this

Look for a printer icon in the lower right toolbar, near the clock, on your monitor. Right click it. Open the print queue. Right click the print jobs you want to cancel or delete. These are general directions, your model OS may be a little different.

Unable to cancel a job

Sounds like the printer spool is frozen.

Assuming you're using WinXP and logged in as an administrator (or with admin permissions)

START
Control Panel
Administrative Tools
Services

Locate the "Print Spooler"
Right click on this and choose "restart"

This will restart the print queue and will probably try to print the job again or delete it properly. If it tries to restart, just right click on the printer job and choose cancel again..

You may need to repeat but that should at least get you back up and running with other print jobs again.

Follow these steps to resolve the issue. Step one: Delete the print queue Open Print Setup Utility located in the Application/Utilities folder. Double-click your printer in the printer list to open the print queue. Click the Stop Jobs icon. Click to select the document, and then click the Delete icon.
