Picture too big for screen


My picture is too big for screen and words are cut off bottom of screen. How do I shrink the picture a few percent to fit the screen and see everything across bottom?

Picture flucuates big to small multiple times and doesn't fill the whole screen when we turn on the set

I have the same problem and the only thing I could do was to change the name of the input on your tv to pc on the menu screen and it should set it to 1080p reduced this will fit the whole picture and set your screen res on your computer to 1920x1080

Picture shrinks toward the center of the screen


Common problem with Philips sets.

My tv zooms in and changes the format.


This is normal - you are zooming in on the picture. Most people use the zoom feature to "stretch" a widescreen movie so it will fit the screen.

Screen is to big


Either the TV or the cable/satellite receiver has Zoomed in to the image when parts of the picture are cut off. Look at both remotes for a Zoom feature or the onscreen menu's for any settings. Usually TV settings don't change on their own but cable/satellite receivers can receive updates and it may need to be reset afterwords, much like a PC.

PIONEER SD-T50W1 VERTICAL PROBLEM


Usually, when a picture collapses some but not all the way, it indicates that an electrolytic capacitor has gone bad in the verrtical circuit. If the top of the picture shrinks, suspect the pump-up capacitor, but if the bottom shrinks then the coupling cap is probably going bad. This is quite an easy thing to correct, so have a qualified tech service the set.
