Question about Dell Inspiron 1525 Notebook

In the front of the computer, on the left side is the hard drive.
You must flip the laptop over, and remove two philips head screws with a cylinder symbol next to them. Then simply slide it out.
If you are replacing the Hard drive, you will need to unscrew the metal cage around the old hard drive, and the black plastic piece. Then screw on the plastic piece, and the cage, slide it in, and your good to go. (you will need a copy of windows to be installed)

Turn off the computer.. Make sure that the battery and the adaptor are taken out.. When you look at the opposite side from were we have the battery.. At the left side you will be able to see the hard drive.. It will holded by two screws.. Take them off. the hard drive will slide out...

SOURCE: reseat the hard drive
shut down the laptop.
then, disconnect the laptop power, and battery.
remove the harddrive, then connect the harddrive firmly back into place.
reconnect power/battery and boot.

WHEN COMPUTR STARTS PRES THE F2 BUTTON , IT WILL TAKE U TO THE SYSTEM SETUP , GO TO ONBOARD DEVICES , OPEN AND GO TO FLASH CACHE MODULE AND DISABLE ( OFF ) THEN GO TO SATA OPERATION ALSO IN ONBOARD DEVICES , SET IT TO BE ON ATA NOT AHCI , THAN AND SAVE !!!! There isn't a hotkey to unlock a hard drive. It's locked from within the BIOS.
When you boot the computer you should see a message saying Press " key " for setup.
Inside there is where the hard drive password is set.
