Hey Tim. I can help you look into the obvious and perhaps most inexpensive problems to fix.
At the bottom of the ISE there is a hex type hole in the center of the bottom plate. This is for an allen wrench of the appropriate size, a wrench usually comes with the units when they are new. UNPLUG the unit under the sink and insert the allen wrench into the hole. You can now use the allen wrench to manually turn the cutting blades inside the ISE. You may find something wedged in the blades that needs to be removed, family silverware, dog collars, etc. As long as the unit is unplugged you can reach inside and clear any debris. You will also find a small button on the bottom of the ISE. This is a circuit breaker and does trip from time to time. You just need to push it in to reset it. But since your unit is humming, I doubt the breaker is tripped. Feel free to contact me if you have questions.

Maybe it got tired of running and sat down to rest. It may enjoy the rest so much that it's humming now. ( humor ) ... Sorry to tell you but most steamers don't last very long, it's probably done it's last steaming.

I have a Hoover v dual spin and all it does is suggested to someone else to check the yellow valve on the dirty water tank I did.all it does is hum.can you give me some ideas?

Teach it the words.

Just kidding!
I'd suggest that you unplug it and then give it a really good cleaning. If possible, use compressed air to blow all dust out of it.
I'm guessing that the hum is the motor trying to turn and not succeeding. You'll need to free up the motor & fan to get it to work.

I have a emerson insinkerator that has nothing working checked breaker and reset button??no power??

First check that you have voltage at the outlet and that the switch is working. There is a reset button on the bottom of the unit - have you tried to reset that? If not, try it! If that doesn't do it, unplug your unit and use an allen wrench to rotate the motor (CW), if it won't turn then you either have something like a bone or spoon wedged in it or the motor is bad. If the motot is bad it is cheaper to replace than to repair.

When we turn on our Orek 3800 XL H2 upright, it just hums. The brushes do not turn.

If its humming that means the motor is trying to turn chances are the belt is off track or somthing is tangled,ie hair, string ect.]So look for that .If thats not the problem than brush motor is burned out.

Was using the SteamVac and it just stopped doing

Bad news! The humming is the pump so it is still good, but that means either the ac to dc converter is bad or the motor went up. The good news, neither would be your fault.

Hoover SteamVac Dual V Carpet Cleaner just hums when I turn it on

if the motor doesn't run sounds like you either have a bad motor or your motor armature might have gotten wet and created a dead spot.if you have any contact cleaner spray a little on the armature then turn the motor by hand make sure its uuplugged first if you can turn the motor then plug it in and try to start it
