Open Question

The blade is loose and won't grind. It is wobbly when it rotates. I tried to tighten the setting but I find it impossible. Is there a way to tighten the blade?

Bandsaw blades keep popping off, could it be heat related?

Blades slip off the wheels on these saws is because one or both wheels are not turning true to the blade. This can be caused by:
- Missing or worn tires on the wheels. The rubber tires have to be on the wheels and they have to be in good condition.
- Occasionally the screws holding the sprocket on the driven wheel come loose and the wheel will wobble causing the blade to come off.
- Both wheels ride on bearings and shafts that, if seized, worn or broken, will let the wheel wobble enough that the blade won't stay on.
- If the blade is stretched or twisted from use it won't stay on very well.

2004 alero brake caliper bracket pins slie out when tighten and rotor keeps wobbling and grinding when only turning right HELP ME PLEASE

"rotor keeps wobbling" - the rotor is held in place by the wheel lug nuts. If it's wobbling, it needs to be replaced. The caliper pins allow one side of the caliper to move in/out from the other. The pins are fixed to one side and should be tight. The movement should be smooth. I have had at times, to rotate the pin to a particular position in order to get smooth movement of the caliper.

I was trying to see if I could stop my fan from wobbling. After loosening the 2 phillips screws I twisted the upper housing slightly and the complete fan came loose(except for the wires). I just want to...

The fan wobbles cause you bought a crappy Harbor Breeze or Hampton Bay fan. The fan blades need to be balanced with a fan balance kit that comes in the box. You probably threw it out cause you didn't know what the package of weights was for. Get you a Hunter ceiling fan and you won't have an issue with fan wobble, because their fans have better quality control before leaving the factory. If you installed the fan without adequate bracket support- you best get a pro to help you out cause there is no fan wobble help for stupidity.

Cuts not square-bevel adjustment

Here's something to try. Get a dial indicator or a drop indicator to measure the blade wobble. Clamp the indicator to your miter gage or use a magnetic base or whatever. Position the indicator so that it contacts the side of the blade as near the outside diameter as possible, then rotate the blade by hand. If there is any warp to the blade, or bend in the arbor, or something out of square where the blade mounts on the arbor, this will pick it up. If that is all good, maybe you have a couple of teeth that were miss-sharpened and are sticking out to the side more than they should (causing a virtual wobble at the tooth end). You could position the indicator on the side of a tooth, then slowly rotate the blade backwards looking for the max reading on each tooth. You should repeat this on the other side of the blade too. Total wobble should only be a few thousandths. Good luck!

Gas Edger Blade

you can try to drive something between the blade and the washer (like screwdriver) to create more friction or try holding the washer with channel locks might have left hand threads and you are actually trying to tighten. if that doesnt work probably need an impact wrench. Go to a auto repair or tire shop with mechanic and give them a few dollars for luch or dinner and let them try with air tools

Loose replacement blade

I completely removed the blade and put it back on, tightening the locknut, and now it works perfectly. The blade has not come loose and have used the machine for the last 3 months. The only thing I can think of is that somehow I didn't have the blade correctly installed in the first place, although it didn't wobble or anything.
