The problem is finding a sprinkler timer that cycles a few seconds between changes. Sprinkler circuits are 24V.

Is it a computer that controls the stoplights so you can drive to work?

Yes, computers are everywhere. Some intersections have sensors embedded in the road,
so that when a vehicle rolls over the sensor, a signal is sent to the computer, and the computer
turns the traffic-light from RED to GREEN.

Computers are also used to "synchronize" a series of traffic-lights, usually so that traffic heading "into" the city during the morning rush-hour gets a series of GREEN lights.

Hi, I am trying to install a Leviton time switch. in the wall box I have a single black, a single white and a copper wire. Here's how I plan to wire it up: wall switch black (hot) ...

The white wire is used to power electronics inside timer:

Single pole switch has two insulated wires.
Remove both insulated wires from switch.

Timer black connects to one of the insulated switch wires, or to Hot wire from breaker
Timer red connects to the other insulated switch wire, or to Load wire going to fan, light, motor.
Timer white connects to Neutral wire from breaker box. Neutrals are white wires that are twisted together and pushed to back of box.
If box does not have Neutral wires, then connect timer white wire to bare ground wire.
Timer green connects to bare ground.

Turn power on, and check if timer is working. If timer is not working, then reverse timer black and timer red wires.
This wiring information has been tested and is accurate.
If timer does not function correctly with correct wiring, then move timer to another location to see if timer is defective, if timer does not work on specific Load, then noise or interference on line can be suspect. Also check ratings for timer and compare with Load ratings.

If you have countdown timer connected to whole house motor/fan, then horsepower rating is important consideration. If timer is rated 1/6 HP and whole house fan is 1/2 HP, then timer will not work.

Pretty sure that the slide is for winter and summer operation, you are rite, the 3 position is the cold level and the 3 lights (Yellow, Red, Green). the Yellow indicates a caution,"" not at temp or faulty""the Red indicates the unit is active and the Green indicates at temp and operating correct. This unit is old and not much information is available however I hope from my experience, that will help you, any further problems call Russ on 08 95230552.

My PS3 wont turn on it just flashes a yellow light then red light that beeps cant get disc out

I found a way to eject the disk:
  1. Power off the PS3 on the main switch on the back of the console
  2. Press and hold the Eject button
  3. Turn on the main power switch
  4. The PS3 LED will go green and the fan will spin at max speed
  5. Wait a few seconds and press the eject button a couple of times, the disk should now eject
  6. watch the PS3 die after 30s or so…
This procedure did not fix my PS3 but at least I got my disk back before sending it to Sony for repair.
