Question about HP Printers & Copiers

Hp deskjet560c wont load the paper when the feed rollers turn. the paper is too low for the feed rollers to catch.i put about 1/16 inch tape above the cork on the paper tray, but the rollers wont pick it up. i have tried using 1 sheet and 25 sheets on the tray. the paper tray seems to be about 1/16 inch low with one sheet on it. i am thinking of getting into the cabnet and putting a spring under the tray. since the thing is obsolete,i request down loading a service manuel.i can go to the ebr parish library to use their computer printer set up.

I think its time to say goodbye to this model and get something newer. There are loads of decent printers in the $50-100 price range.

    1. The mechanism that lifts the IN tray up to the paper wheels may either be jammed or broken.

      1. To release the paper feed mechanism:

      2. Remove the OUT tray and load or have at least 20 sheets of paper in the IN tray

      3. Press the FF (Form Feed) button for the HP Deskjet, Plus, or 500
printer. Press the LOAD/EJECT button for the HP Deskjet 500C printer.

      4. If the paper is not lifting up to the three black wheels, but the wheels spin, the paper load mechanism is the problem.

      5. The paper load mechanism is an ear shaped black piece located on the
right side of the IN tray. As this piece turns, the paper is lifted up
to the rollers. This same piece is shaped differently on the HP Deskjet
520 and 560 printers, but is the only clear piece on the left side of
        the IN tray.

      6. If the load mechanism is jammed, turning the black piece to the right and to the left a few times may clear the problem.

      7. If the problem remains, or if the paper load mechanism continues to
jam, contact HP technical support to send the printer in for repair.

I have an hp p3005 with the jam code 13.01.00. It has had the feed rollers and sep pads replaced. When it runs it appears to catch on the separation pad itself since it shows a small buckle in the middle...

Replaced seperation pad?. separation pad work is to block multiple paper feeding, but in yourcase paper not at all feeding means paper pickup roller not picking up the papers.replace both 2 & 3 paper pickup rollers..
See the snap shot, view from under.
Pickup roller( red)

I have an HP Deskjet F4280 All-in-One printer. It will not grab the paper to print. I have tried some solutions that I read on a site to shut the power off, turn the printer on/off button 10 times, wait...

The feed rollers are probably dirty. look inside where the leading edge of the paper sets, the feed roller are right above..might only be 1 roller. Put some rubbing alcohol on a rag (not a tissue or paper towel) and clean the roller. It will only roll one way.
Hope this helps

Paper won't feed through. goes about 2-4 inches the stops no matter how many times i clear the jam.

Hi If you remove the toner/drum unit and look into the back of the printer you will see the paper feed roller and just above it a long thin foam covered roller. Clean this foam covered roller with a damp cloth, it will be covered in toner and too slippy to feed the paper. Turn it and clean until it feels sticky again, all should now work !

Same problem. Printer runs but wont feed in any

observe if pick up mechanism function as when you send printing job. if yes, may pick up roller already worn out and need replacement.

I am printing postcards which get stuck in the printer during the last 2 inches of printing. What can I do to fix this? The printer is HP officejet 6110 all-in-one.

How stiff is the card stock? Some cards cannot feed if the printer rolls the card to print on it. (This one does)
I have taped cards to a full size sheet of paper and run that through.
Usually this means the paper is too stiff.
You can try cleaning the paper feedroller with a rag with a bit of windex on it. (This roller is above the paper tray where the paper loads in.)

Brother Laserjet 8860dn printer not picking up/feeding paper

The paper is not feeding from the paper tray. The loud click is alarming, but not the problem. Check the adjustments in the paper tray. The left and right guides should be snug, but the rear guide should give between a 1/16 inch and a 1/8 inch of free play.

To check, press the purple lever at the right front of the tray. The leading edge of the stack of paper in th etray should rise out of the tray so that the top piece of paper can be fed into the drum assembly. If the stack does not rise evenly, or will not rise, the rear adjustment is the problem.

You can inspect the springs in the paper tray by removing the plastic cover that is above the white translucent roller in the tray. To do this turn over the tray and release the catches with a little screwdriver. I do not think there is a missing spring. While you have the cover off clean the lnt from behind the roller.

Wont grip paper on feed, keeps 'saying' paperjam

I have had this problem after printing a large batch of sheets on a heavy matte photo paper. The roller picks up a 'polish' from the surface coating and then fails to grip. I have tried cleaning the roller, with some sucess, but the best solution I have found is to feed through several blank sheets (just page throws in a Word document) of a ordinary 80 gram paper. Doing this between smaller batches of the photo printing seems to keep things flowing.

Paper won't feed

No guarantee on this just an idea. Can you put a piece of sticky tape(the matt one not hi gloss) just across the feed in edge. Or some other thin tape that would have a "grip" to it? Good Luck!

Not grabing paper to print Seem as though the roller feed is not

This will happens when the paper feeder sensor fails. Due to this when give any print or copy it wont feeds the paper you may get the error please load the paper. For this you need to contact HP Customer Support for a service if it is under warranty.
Thanks & Regards Nandu :)

Hp 1350 all-in one psc

your paper feed problem may be due to the feed rollers or due to the fact the mecanism that raise the paper doesn't function properly. Normally if you clean the rollers that should work
