Question about Whirlpool LTE5243D Top Load Stacked Washer/Dryer
My contractor just hooked this unit up and when the dryer is turned on it is extremely noisy. It turns and heats up but the noise is unbearable. If it helps figure out what is wrong, it was shipped on its side (not upright). Could something be mis-aligned?
Thank you in advance.
I got anothe solution.
First turn the power off than open the back panel of the dryer.you will need to open the blower assembly cover on the left and you will notice the cove has weather strip all around it.
Make sure the weather strip doesn't touch the blower wheel than put it back together.Good luck

Open dryer door, and reach up to the top of drum and push on it very gently. If it moves more than 1/4 inch or more, the dryer guides needs to be replaced. Sadly the guides are for front and rear so that means the drum has to be removed and the guides in the rear has to be changed first.
It will involve some time so be very careful! Another thing is to check for the dryer idler arm pully. if this pully is squealing/worn out, it will also need to be replaced at the same time you replace the guides.
My suggestion is to call your contractor and make them come out to see if they damaged it. Your local appliance repair store can also sometimes help.
