Click your "Start" menu, under "Search, type in "Device Manager" and press enter. On the device manager, you will see a of your computer components. Go to CD/DVD driver, right click on it, scroll to "Uninstall" and select it. After the uninstalling, restart your computer and your CD/DVD drive should have appeared.
If it still does not appear, then it means you will have to open up your CPU in order to gain access to the CD/DVD hardware drive.
Shut down your computer, get a screw drive, open the CPU case, locate the CD/DVD drive, you will see an IDE cable and power plug remove them and fix them back into the drive properly put on the couple back the system,put it back on and try again.
