Question about Welch Allyn Medical

Open Question

Our clinics just recently purchased the Welch Allyn pc based ECG and spirometry devices. Between myself and their tech dept we cannot seem to find the reason we are having so many problems with them. Everything is setup and configured correctly according to a couple of their tech guys. When first opening the program we get a "Class Not Registered" error. We OK past that error and are able to login, then while trying to perform an ecg or spirometry we get an application error from mdw.exe (The main CardioPerfect program) that says Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Process ID=0x578 (1400), Thread ID=0xb44 (2884). Click OK to terminate the application. Click CANCEL to debug the application. Either way it crashes the program. Then the last error we get after it crashes is a Runtime Error from Program: C:\Program Files\Cardio Control\MDW\mdw.exe R6025 - pure virtual function call. It was setup at the same time and identical to the other 4 we have. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

SOURCE: Common Language Runtime and Windows cannot find 'regsvr.exe'

This is malware! Never click on an executable file that you do not know as you activate a worm or virus by doing so. A quick google search of the file name is prudent if you do not know what that file is. Now you should download the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool from Microsoft here: Let me know if you need further help. Steve

I do recall that I've seen details about this ECG machine by the above site, long ago. Search for it by type in the brand name 'Welch Allyn'; in the search box at the top right of the Display Window of that site.

We use a Welch Allyn ECG machine at our office, and our numerous occassions lately it is saying the the limbs leads are reversed (avR is showing up positive and aVL is showing up negative). How do I fix...

You have wrongly connected the limb leads. Limb leads are those leads which we connect in the arms and legs.
In your case the leads in the arm have been interchanged. Thats why you get the message and prints inverted avR and avR.
check the leads and properly place it.

How do i know if my ekg is interpretative?

Sometimes you can print out a report even though you are not connected to a patient. If a report prints out you will see "interpretation" on the top middle of the page. If interpretation is not there it most likely means you do not have interpretation. You could also call welch allyn and give them the serial number. They will be able to tell you.

I have the Welch Allyn PCR 100 and have never been able to get it to produce an ekg even though I returned it and they had it working, when I hook it up it just doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Could be bad\expired electrodes, mislabeled lead wires and the patient cable is loose. Also, if one lead is intermittently working it may not show any leads on the report because that one lead is bad. If it is an intermittent problem it could work just fine for somebody else and not you. I can work on this for you if you need more help.

Welch Allyn vital sign monitor turns off when we push the start button.

There is not enough current in the battery to start the pump. Even when plugged in these will not work properly if the battery is going bad. These are not technically user replaceable but with a screwdriver and a new battery you can take care of it. I can help more if you like.
