The dryer runs just doesn't get hot. is it the heating element or is there a fuse somewhere?

More than likely the heater element has failed. typically there are no fuses for this application. Also, be sure that you have 220 volts at plug receptacle outlet, you may only have 110 volts feeding dryer and it requires 220 volts for heating unit and all other operations of the dryer. Hope this helps to answer your question.

I want to convert my compressor from 115 V to 220volt? There is nothing in the owners manual on how to do this. Can you help me?

Your garage mate unit was made to operate on 120 volts. That one reason there is nothing in the owners manual. To convert it my be costly.First your electric motor must be able to handle 220 volts. you will need to look on the motor tag and see if it has 120v/230v. if not you will have to purchase a new motor that will handle 220/230 volts. If your motor will handle 220/230/volts you need to look at the the wiring diagram attached to the motor. you then will need to purchase a 220 v plug and outlet and correct wire size to install.

I AM GETTING ELECTRICITY TO THE 220 PLUG AND THROUGH THE 220 PLUG WIRE TO THE STOVE JUNCTION BOX. THE STOVE TOP AND OVEN HEATING ELEMENTS ARE NOT HEATING UP BUT THE INDICATOR LIGHTS FOR BOTH ELEMENTS SHOW...

The indicator lights operate on 120 volts whereas the elements operate on 220 volts.
Using an electrical test meter go between the two hot legs and see if you are getting 220 volts. If not you have an open or non completed circuit.
Do not test from one leg to ground as you will probably read 120 volts for each leg. By reading across both legs you should get 220 volts.

Have a two pole 80 amp push in breaker that is reading 220 on 1 load side and 120 on the other load side? how is this possible???

220 volts power to device. 120 volts is coil volts of the relay. when this 120 coil energized by control commanded, the 220 volts passes to device. When it de-energized, 220 cuts off to device.
How you are getting 120volts. It's from transformer 220-120 which will be in your unit.
Thanks.

How do u change from 110 to 220 volts. Do u just

There should be a wiring diagram label on the inside cover that tells you where to connect the leads for 220 volt operation. I assume you do not have the manual, so you can also call 1-800-332-3281 for Hobart assistance and a manual.

Maytag model MDE7057AYW 5600 Watts dryer runs ,but

5600 watts will not operate off 120 volts.
This is a 220/240 volt hookup.
There are 2 legs of 120 volts each that operate the dryer.
The only part requiring 220v is the heater.
Otherwise 120v routes through the various controls and relays.

HP laptops power supply

Well, as a rule for electronics:
The United States and Canada use 110-volt electricity.
Most countries outside North America use 220-volt electricity.
Unless your appliance is dual voltage, you need to use a "converter" or a "transformer" to change the 220-volt electricity into 110-volt electricity in order to use a 110-volt appliance.
If your appliance is dual voltage, you can switch it to work on 220-volts, without a transformer or converter.

HOWEVER

Desktop units have a selector switch for 110 / 220 volts., which is done away with in the case of laptop one's which sense the input voltage and regulate accordingly.

I think your main concern is just that you have an adapter for the plug to go into the wall outlet.

Hope that helps :)

Converter needed

If your unit is from the USA, 120 volt/ 300 watts.
EU is 220-240V / 300 Watts. Best choice is to go to Bose service center in EU and have your transformer inside your box replaced with 220-240V for EU operation. That way you don't have to worry about a converter. If not, 2nd choice is buy a step-down transformer 220-240V input and 120 Volt output that can handle 300Watts.

Good Luck.
