Question about Vacuums

Open Question

I need to purchase new blades for our 52" Jericho IV ceiling fan, Model 166315. I went to home depot in Harrisville, UT and they said that we would have to contact you and they didn't have ANY replacement fan blades in stock. HOW COULD THAT BE WHEN THEY HAVE HAMPTON BAY FANS ALL OVER THEIR LIGHTING SECTION? What kind of a business are you running when one can't get replacement parts? Our fan is making noise and I want to replace the blades. How hard can that be? By-the- way; I hope you notice in your pick an expert that you don't have a category for lighting. I want a real person to tell me how much the blades cill cost and to make the necessary transaction!!! Daniel Morris

Need white translucent globe for Harbor Breeze Ceiling Fan to cover light. Globe fits to fan base with 6-1/4" Inside diameter mounting ring and is secured with three thumb screws.

I believe Harbor Breeze is sold through the Home Depot. Any well stocked Home Improvement store will carry a great selection of replacement globes for your light.

My hunter ceiling fan is not working and according to hunter technical support, I need to replace the remote control receiver (part # 8511204000) at a cost of 50.00 plus shipping.is there a way to by-pass...

If the product did not come with a manual control on it then yes you will have to use the remote. However, if the replacement remote will cost nearly as much as the ceiling fan itself you could simply purchase a new fan.

I need to replace the remote control (UC7083T) of my Hampton Bay Sidewinder 54 Ceiling fan. Could you pls tell me where to buy one? Thanks

You can buy a fan remote at Home Depot, Lowe's,or Menard's basically any one of the big box stores. If they do not have the one used with your fan,you buy a universal remote. Follow the instructions in the box make sure you shut the power off as you may get shocked or burn up he control

My Hampton Bay ceiling remote model no. UC7030T does not work. How can I get another one. My fan will not work without it.

First, be sure you did not change one of the dip switches in the hand held unit while changing batteries. You would have to see if the switches in the hand held unit match the switch positions in the fan receiver.
This is one of the many sites you can go to for remotes:

Hampton Bay fans are sold exclusively by Home Depot. I would check on line or stop by one of their stores to see if you can pick up a HB remote. Once you get a new remote you have to again make sure the dip switches are in the same position. Paul

I have a 11 yr old Hampton Bay ceiling fan with light kit. The pull chain to operate the fan broke (evidently inside of the fan) and I cannot figure out how to fix it. Do I have to take off the light...

I'm unfamiliar with your exact model but your description makes it very similar to the "King of Fans" branded models I fitted in my house twenty years ago and have fixed a few times. It might even be that yours are made by the same company as Home Depot source their Hampton Bay range from a variety of manufacturers including KoF.

You are entirely correct that you can access the pull chain once you have removed the lamp assembly. If it's just the chain which has snapped then it's normally straightforward to remove the short piece from the switch and install what's left onto the switch, but if your chain is the typical ball and link type and is more than a few years old then replace it with a new one if you can obtain the right size easily. They're not expensive, and the old one will have wear and tear making another failure highly likely. If either of the switches has failed (the pull switch or the fan direction switch) then they're also usually easy to obtain from any electronics store at low cost or you can contact Home Depot regarding spares, also check here and here. Your total repair cost should therefore be no more than a few £'s, $'s or whatever else you use locally: far cheaper and quicker than fitting a new fan.

I hope that my reply has been of use to you and saves you a lot of time and money. Please take a brief moment to rate my answer.

I bought a ceiling fan from lowe's, got it home got ceiling fan up in the bathroom, when we put in the light one of the halogen bulbs does not work , also two of the cobalt blue glass covers are cracked...

If this is a new product and it is defective, take it back to Lowe's and insist on a replacement, talk to the manager if you have to. This site will only advise you on how to fix it.
