You might have either a faulty LCD cable or screen inverter board.
The LCD cable transfers data signal from the motherboard & video card to the LCD screen. It also supplies high voltage DC power to the screen inverter board. The screen inverter board works as a power supply for the backlight lamp mounted inside the LCD screen. It converts low voltage DC power to high voltage AC power needed for the backlight lamp.

You meant the built in mouse pad fails.

why not use wired USB mouse, now, and end the pain ,
then with a working mouse , get the HP driver from HP
and install it from HP. for W7. (luck)
at HP, fixyah is not HP, not at all..
that will work, if not driver issue, then buy a new pad. oops none are sold new.
after 10 years. so that leaves what, used pads sold on ebay..'
..
HP dot com. your support page. (seems to be collapsing from age)10years old it does. by hp rules.
even the tx2500 series is 10 years old now.

does your service tag show tx2000 , that is series
not telling the service tag number gets you wrong facts.
wrong drivers, so next time show the full model

try the support assistant there.?

here are the full list of tx2000 series PC
see ,its not just one PC, we need the full model p/n to answer
with any accuracy at all.

there is no guarantee at all any w7 driver exist. for your mouse pad but many times the Vista version will work
you lost that now, i you dont have the install disks from HP.
or the pad is simply bad.

we have tools here to scan your pad chips to see the makers
name and then get driver from them direct. after HP drops support.

Hp Pavilion, tx2000, Black Screen, running, lights are flashing, Nothing on monitor

as soon as you turn on the computer keep tapping the F8 key until you see a screen called advanced boot options ..using the arrow keys in the keyboard select the option last known good configuration and press enter hope this works if this doesn't work.
again go to that advance boot options screen by following the same above said procedure and this time select the option safe mode then if your computer boots up in the safe mode then try to do system restore from start button->all programs->accessories->system tools->system restore select a date at which your computer was working fine and let it do its stuff if this works your computer will boot to the home screen..
good luck

HI there,

You already performed the best possible troubleshooting and defined your problem. Your monitor has failed in one of several ways and the cost of repairing it will make a trip to the recycler and then to the place where you purchase a new one the most logical next step.

Best Regards,

HP tx2000 - black screen.

Hi
The problem you are experiencing is related to the screen of your Hp.
All you need to do is to is to get to a computer store and get your screen replaced.
You can not fix a damaged screen.

I have to turn it on and off for several times just for it to start wroking

If you get just a black screen - all lights on except hard drive light and fan seems to be working, then you are probably experiencing the same GPU (video chip) issues as others. Here is a good read - http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/TX-series-notebooks/Familiar-Story-tx2000-lights-and-fan-on-but-black-screen-at-boot/td-p/87361
...and here is the service manual if interested in trying the permanent fix yourself.

Powers up but black screen shows

1st - Try pressing <Fn> + <BrithnessUP> keys a few times, (on HP <Fn> key is between <Ctrl> key and <Windows> key, <BrightnessUP> key is <F8> key and <BrightnessDown> key is <F7> key. If nothing happens try the 2nd one.
2nd - Plugin external monitor, (type and size doesn't matter). Turn on your laptop. If you can see desktop on the external monitor, your drivers are o.k., The problem is your laptop display, NOT the graphic chip.
