Question about Sony Ericsson K750i Cellular Phone

1 Answer

The problem is with my K750i camera and is something to do with the autofocus. The camera will generally autofocus OK and the little white box will turn green and the little dot at the top left will stop blinking, there will also be a "click" noise from the top of the phone. Then when I press down on the button to take the picture, I get another click, the autofocus box disappears and no picture is taken. (this process is taking place with the sound turned off as the bleeps drive me nuts). Is this a component problem or has something come loose..????? I have already tried reloading the phone's software. Many thanks.

Your problem is simply the keypad switch of the camera....loose contact buy new keypad assembly.there is nothing wrong with the phone software.

You may just have the left auto focus points selected. You don't say which camera model you have. If on the back of your camera you can see a button with an icon showing 5 small white blocks in a plus sign in a white box press this to select the auto focus points. It should show the available auto focus points and then use the left/right (wheel) button to change the selection

The autofocus in my d3000 has suddenly stopped working.maybe i changed something in menu.small ? on bottom left of display flashing.

have you set the selector mode at the lens to A/M?
or else, the focus lock is set as AF-C, for general use just select AF-S mode

Autoocus doesn't work

The first thing to check is that autofocus is enabled on the camera body.

The auto/manual focus selector switch is located on the front of the camera, just below the lens release button (on the left side as you look through the view finder). Make sure that the white dot on the selector lines up with the white dot under the AF (autofocus).

If this does not solve the problem, make sure that your lenses are set to autofocus mode as well.

70-300DL Macro Super autofocus problem

It is likely that the lens will need parts. Sigma is not the best for repair parts. Typically, the small nylon gears that control the AF break. It is still a useful piece in manual focus. Repair costs would likely exceed its value.

Auto focus problems

Generally, a Nikon AF body - lens needs something of contrast to focus on (i.e., the tux of a groom) and with a white wedding dress, the autofocus tends to go 'nuts.' You could pick a spot (a pew) to focus on and then turn AF off: during the walk-down-the-asle, just shoot when the person hits that spot. In a less-than-bright church, maybe your eyes and digital are not a prime match. You could return to a film camera -- the F100 does well in lower light.

Beginners question : Autofocus

In the custom settings, you can program the "ok" button of the 4-way controller to disable AF. It's kind of a handy little trick. It's called "Ok button when shooting" or something.
