Casio CTK-720 USB computer/music connection

I want to play/hear music on a keyboard (I have Casio CTK-720); record the music to a computer file (I have a usb connector); playback the music to check it; repeat the process until the music file is right; write, copy or burn the file to CD, or e-mail the file, for listening by a third party.

1.Download Audacity -
http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/audacity-win-unicode-1.3.9.exe
2.buy a cable for sound input, with 3.5" connector on both sides (like
the end of mic/phones)
3. connect cable from Phones/Output on keyboard to a PC where you
connect your stereo
4.run Realtek program for sound, go to Mixer/Record and enable Stereo Mix,
then in Audio I/O click on connected device and assign Line In.
%. Now run Audacity and start recording sound, you should hear your keyboard

Not all usb ports are the same. Many devices can't understand mp3 wav wma m4a flac etc etc. they weren't designed to play music or movies etc. They were for internet connections or limited use. Check your manual to see what it can and can't do You didn't post the name of the box that has the usb for me to look into it.

Need advice on how to use Advance Digital ADS Instant Music RDX-150

Assuming you have recording software on your machine already: (GoldWave, Audacity...)

Plug the USB cable into the back of the ADS and into the computer

Connect a line-level analog audio source (tape player, turntable, radio, amplifier, etc.) to the ADS using the appropriate cable to fit the source on the one end and has RCA connectors on the other - plug into the Audio In jacks (Red and White)

Ensure that the recording source on the computer is set to the appropriate USB port

Select record in the software and start the analog source playing

Note: If you are using a microphone, make sure it is amplified to line-level before using as a source.

How do i remove music from my mp3 player?

It depends.

When connected via USB to a computer, some MP3 players imitate a "disk-drive". Open "My Computer", and select the drive-letter, and select the folders/files, and press the DELETE key on your keyboard to delete the selected item(s).

On the other hand, if you connect an iPod to your computer, then iTunes will open, and you can use the iTunes software to "browse" the music on the iPod, and can delete files.

Casio Ctk-720 windows vista compatability issues

Hi there. Get yourself a copy of Fruity Loops. In the MIDI settings, enable CASIO USB IN as the input and set the controller type to (generic controller). After that, make sure GM Mode is turned on on the Casio's interface and Local is turned off. If you've already installed the Casio's drivers from the included CD, you should be able to use the Casio as a MIDI controller in Fruity Loops, wherein you can do pretty much anything.

How can I record from VHS to Computer with Sabrent TV Tuner?

Did you install the driver for the remote control?
In either case, the video will automatically start playing on your computer but not recording. You can just click on the record icon without using the remote.
It sets up a folder under your Documents. It should then show you the icon so you can name the file.

I am having the same issue with the sound though. Haven't yet solved it. Will post the solution if found

Trouble recording records

When recording from a phonograph, I use the following items.
5220ee0.jpg
Depending on the phonograph whether or not it's MC or MM makes a difference in sound although most can't tell the difference. Also, you need to know if your phonograph requires a pre-pre amp or if that pre-pre amp is built in and the line coming out is at line level. The Rolls item is a pre-pre amp unit which takes to older phonographs signal level to that of input levels which allow the phonograph to be connected to any aux line in.

On the back of the computer, you can plug the RCA jacks from the phonograph into the adapter and directly into your computer via the MIC (usually pink) input. Most of the time this is sufficient. If the volume is too loud, or sounds horrible, chances are you have a pre-pre amp and you then plug it into the line in (usually blue)

First I would connect the RCA's from the phonograph to the adapter and plug it into the mic and see how the sound is.

Keep in mind that you do not use the ROLLs unit when connecting this way. If it's too loud or distorted, plug it into the line in.

For recording, you can download Audacity which is free and a wonderful editing program.

Sound not recorded

You need an 1/8" male jack plug (both ends) cable. One end plugs to audio out on TV card, the other end plugs to audio in on the sound card. Or is it the other way around. Anyway, thats what you need. I think Radio Shack sells them maybe BestBuy or Circuit City.
