your xbox should of had a disk with it to run your network settings and store them on a memmory card the properties as long as you have your network setup disk save the properties to memmory car of xbox and then you shouldnt have no more problems
but if you need to proceed further you need to set router settings manually
in internet explorer search bar type in this code here 192.168.0.1 this is your fixed router ip this will bring up the screen for router protocol it will ask for name and password unless you changed the password and name it should still be normal type=admin for name type=password for password this will give info on your routers and specs
I tried everything and eventually figured this out. Do this!
Enable DHCP set the start ip to 192.168.1.100, and remove any static IP address on your xbox 360 (have it automatically detect connections) Set the MTU to 1364. enable UPnP. if you are using wrt-dd (if you aren't, you should be) setup QoS so xboxlive has premium priority.
And you have hit the ground running. Even microshats own website wont' help you fix this stupid problem.

My 432BRP holds my laptop on the internet for about two minutes and then dumps it off losing the signal. Or a message comes up and says this website has timed out when it shouldn't because its a normal www and a secure site. What should I do to remedy this? I first thought this was a basement problem so I moved the router to the first floor. I can be 10' away and it still knocks me off.
