Question about Nintendo Professor Layton & the Curious Village Games for DS

The number under the 7 must either be an 8 or a 9 and, as an extra hint, it's a 9

From here, it's a simple matter of using the remaining four numbers to make two numbers with a difference of 33

You can find a couple of possible solution here if you need it

Your questions were 50, if you double it, you get 100. That is remarkably 100%. If you double the number you got wrong as well, you get 2. 100 minus 2 is 98, you got 98%.

Your calculator is giving you the correct answer, telling you that 0.77 to the 22nd is about 3.1827 times ten to the minus 3, or 0.0031827 . By default, the calculator will switch to scientific notation if the magnitude of the number is less than 10 to the minus 2, or 0.01. You can put the switch at 10 to the minus 9 by repeatedly pressing the MODE key until you reach the screen showing "Fix Sci Norm" on the top line. Press 3 to select Norm, then press 2 to select Norm2.

The calculator can only show ten digits. The only way it can show a number with ten or more leading zeroes is to switch to scientific notation.

X = 3 (

10x minus 3x equals 20 plus 1

10X minus 3X is 7X (right?)

20 plus 1 is 21 (right?)

therefore:

7X = 21

now divide both sides of the equals sign by 7

7X divided by 7 equals 21 divided by 7

7X / 7 = 21/7

X = 3 (
