In your osd screen menu, there should be a reset button, click on this and your screen should fit perfectly.

Let me know if you have trouble finding this

good luck

you might find the reset labeled as Recall, if it doesn't fit perfectly on the screen then first resize the picture horizontally, and then move it horizontally.

Then resize vertically, and move vertically and it should be pretty simple to do.

Please keep me updated on this problem

Grey Wavy Lines On My Monitor

First of all, try using a different monitor cable. If the problem is still present, make sure that your monitor's image is correctly adjusted. Most monitors provide an 'auto adjust' function. This page can help you find out whether your monitor's clock and phase are correctly adjusted:
http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/clock_phase.php
It also provides different test images that can help you with locating your problem.
Hope is helps, cheers.

Hi there.

You'll need to adjust the refresh rate. I have recently written a tip on adjusting a monitor's refresh rate. I suggest you give it a read and let me know how it goes.
You can see my tip here:

For presice adjustments of VGA input run the Auto Ajustment Software on the CD

Additional image quality improvement use the clock and clock pahase controls of the monitor to fine tune the image

My acer monitor p244w has a clock setting on the menu.--what is this clock setting for?

The "clock" refers to the internal oscillator clock circuitry that is responsible for the generation of the video signals. It is NOT used to set the time on the monitor. It is used to make adjustments to how the display looks, usually stretching/shrinking the horizontal width.

E-yama monitor "out of range"

The fix was pretty easy in the end.

Instructions are based upon Windows XP Pro OS.

Re-boot computer but inerrupt start-up by pressing F8 (option will vary between computers)

Select SAFE mode but with VGA option in order that the screen will actually display.

Once fully loaded click:

Start
Control Panel
Appearance and Themes
Display
Settings

Using the mouse cursor adjust Screen Resolution sliding scale until the ratio matches your monitor e.g. 1280 x 1084

Then click Apply and OK (important to do it in this order otherwise changes will not be saved)

Reboot as normal and the monitor should now display correctly.

On startup the screen shows ( out of range )

It means your system display card settings are too high for your monitor. Boot your system into safe mode and set the display settings lower. Right mouse button click on an empty space on your desktop and go to properties. Then settings->advanced and you should be able to adjust the vertical frequency down to 60hz or 72hz. If not, then go to the monitor tab and load a generic monitor driver.
One time, I bought a repackaged display card that had been set too high and I had to reload the card driver in safe mode to get it to work correctly.
pls rate my solution
thankyou for using fixya

Viewsonic g71f+

the feature will be called Auto Adjust on your osd menu, I'm not quite sure where exactly it will be but by clicking on this within the menu will fit it perfectly to your screen. It possibly will even be it's own button on the screen. Since I am not totally familiar with this exact model, I can't be more specific but if you are having trouble, please let me know the options and I can tell you where to look since all monitors are basically the same.
