Flame sensor could be dirty. It is located right beside the last burner looks like a thick piece of wire. Take steel wool and gently clean the probe 4 or 5 strokes is all it will take to take off the carbon build up off. Lets eliminate this item and see if it clears up okay. ken

You have a dirty flame sensor. Look at the very last burner and you will see a wire going to a ceramic sensor and it looks like a thick wire. Take some steel wool or fine sandpaper and clean the surface off and it will work like a champ.

Let me know how it goes ken

Can I vent my ultra v tech 80 propane gas furnance with pvc so I can do away with chimney

Generally, the furnace must be at least 90+ efficiency to be able to use PVC pipe. In addition, high efficiency gas furnaces require a condensation pump, to pump excess moisture out of the furnace. If yours has always been venting up a vent pipe, then NO, you can't use PVC pipe.

Hope this helps you.

We have an Armstrong Ultra SX 80 furnace. I can't seem to find the filter on it. Does it take filters and if so, where should they be installed?

Hi,
The filters should be installed either in the return air vent or on the return air side of the furnace.

Installed a new filter and furnace is running great now. The old filter was not that old, but we have been doing some remodeling and I figure that is what clogged it so fast.
