Hard time find replacement hose

I seem to have lost the exhaust hose in a recent move. I called Maytag, but they do not carry the replacement hose. I tried several other parts dealers and no luck. Any idea where I could find a hose? Or, how to go about rigging a makeshift replacement that wont leak?
THanks for your suggestions!

Go to RepairClinic.com -- if you call them and give them your Maytag's part number they can direct you to the precise part. They carry a Sharp Item #1055132 for $25.00 that they say is the same as the part for the Maytag. It looks like the dryer vent kit should work too (both 4" diameter) and at $10 cheaper.

Am missing the attachment for the hose in the back of Maytag Portable Air Conditioner Model NMPEB08F2A*B - do you have this attachment? How much? Thank you. Delane

Delane, we don't sell any parts or appliances here at FixYa. However most of the time we can tell you where to find it. However, I am not sure which attachment for the hose you are asking about. If it is the exhaust hose itself, you can find and purchase it at the following link.

I hope this is what you're looking for and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Try duct tape , pvc pipping and cardboard, Tape the pipe to the back of the ac and them use a cardboard piece with a whole cut out for the pvc pipe in the window ,coat the cardboard with several layers of tape inside and out..It should work for awhile..Or call the Maytag/Fedders maybe they will send it to you free...

WHERE CAN I FIND THE REPLACEMENT FILTER?

Hi, sometimes it is very hard to find the right size filter. Here's a hint. Measure the opening or old filter and go to a hardware store. You can buy filter media that they will cut to fit for you. Some of this material you can reuse, it just has to be washed in the sink or hose outside every 2 to 3 months. Works much better then the disposable filters. Ace hardware, Home Depot carry this.
Sincerely,

Rattling noises from ac

If you are careful unplug it, tilt it 45 degrees back and use a hose spray sideways to remove the debris from the coils. It worked for me. Be careful not to get any of the electrical parts wet.Low pressure from hose

Hot Air

I am assuming it's turned on, and plugged into electricity, but at that point I have no idea what you are doing to try to cool the air, as in, what settings do you have it on?
Does the front indicator panel, led lights, have any signals indicated?
Are you exhausting air out of the room, and using both exhausts?
Are the exhaust lines straight? Pointed upward or downward? Sideways kinked?
Are there Hard S's in the exhaust lines that would cause backup of air flow?
Has a family of small penguins (very small) moved into the exhaust hoses, thereby blocking flow?
What is the actual temperature before use, and during use after a given amount of time and at what is the outside ambient temperature?
Did You lay it down or sideways before turning it on, or has it always been in the upright position?
Is the filter clean?
Have you cleared out the drainage hoses? They may be backed up.
Are your vents open?

Air in, air out.

try leveling or having the exhaust hoses point down and not up to exhaust.
