Question about Norelco 7735X Electric Shaver

1 Answer

I am trying to find a couple of parts that go on the handle of a 7735x shaver. One is the wire clip that latches the head to the handle and the other part is the top part where the lotion comes out. Is there anyplace that might sell these parts?

The wire clip you refer to can not be purchased seperately. It comes as part of the 'head holder'. The other part you mention is not available.

You will find the head holder at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

The wire clip shown is the hinge. I need the clip on the handle that latches the head down. Thanks

Unfortunately, that part is not available from the manufacturer. Your best bet would be to check ebay for a cheap used shaver of the same model. You could then swap out the part.

    Good luck

How do you change the batteries in a norelco 7735x razor?

Remove the translucent back cover to reveal 4 screws. Remove those screws and a 5th screw located in the 'cap' on the bottom of the shaver. This will allow you to remove the lid of the battery compartment.
Use the information at the shaveroutlet.com video below fro battery installation

Hinge on head came apart

It shouldnot come apart. If it has come apart the plastic that holds the hinge is broken. You will need to replace the head holder as it includes the hinge. You will find one for model 7735X at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

My 7735X shaver will not hold a charge. Can I replace the battery?

You can repair this by replacing the batteries. You will find the correct batteries for model 7735X at shaveroutlet.com. See link below

To replace, take off the plastic lotion packet cover on the back. Remove screw to take off the 'cap' on the botton then remove 4 screws to take off battery cover to access batteries. For easier replacement, it is suggested that you use a modified installation technique. This is to break the tabs off of the old batteries rather than unsoldering them from the circuit board. This allows the old batteries to be removed but leaves the tabs attached to the circuit board. You can then solder the tabs from the new batteries to the old existing tabs

Stopped running. About 4 years old. Won't take charge. Moderl # 8865 XL

Most likely, the batteries are the problem. You will find the correct battery type for model 7735x at shaveroutlet.com. See link below.

To replace, you will need to remove the back cover by removing the screws. Take off back cover to access inside. There are two metal clips that must be unhooked for better access. You can unsolder the batteries from the circuit board but for easier replacement, it is sometimes suggested that you use a modified installation technique. This is to break the tabs off of the old batteries with small needle nose pliers rather than unsoldering them from the circuit board. This allows the old batteries to be removed but leaves the tabs attached to the circuit board. You can then solder the tabs from the new batteries to the old existing tabs

If you are not able to do this yourself, you can have shaveroutlet.com do it for you. See link below

How to replace remington's r-842 battery

First, remove the shaving head, and set it aside.

Then turn the shaver over, and note the two recessed Philips head screws. Remove them carefully, so as not the strip the heads. It helps to use a long shank screwdriver, vs. the short-handled jeweleries screwsdrivers, so you can get enough torque.

Lastly, pry the two halves of the shell apart, starting at the bottom. You'll see some of the innards, but it will feel like it's still attached at the top. It's not, but there is a slot that the back fits in to like a tongue-and-grove so gently wiggle the back shell just a bit back and forth, while lifting slightly and pulling downward. Use a soft touch. Do this a couple times, and the back will pop off.

Inside, you'll see two 1.2V, 600mA AA-Nicad cells, which are readily available for a couple bucks. I bought mine at Harbor Freight on sale for $1 each.

Unfortunately, they're soldered in, so that's as far as I got, until I read up on desoldering and resoldered to Nicad batteries. It can be dangerous... from the heat. It may be advisable to buy batteries with clips soldered on with wires already. Then the wires can be attached to posts in the shaver.

Good luck!
