Sorry, my mistake, I forgot to say that the image I'm talking about is actually the webcam. when i turn it on, the image is upside down. I understood it's something very common for Asus notebooks.

So yea, this changes the whole situation. Sorry!

Hi,
You can normalise the screen by a keyboard short cut. Just press Ctrl+Alt+ (arrow key) to flip the window to normal settings.

Thank you for choosing Fixya.com

If your machine monitor shows an upside down display all you need to do is to press ctrl+alt + up or down button to fix the issue.

All the best!

I have a Panasonic PT-LM2U; when it is turned on, everything powers up fine but the image projected is upside down. I've looked through the menu but didn't see an option for flipping or rotating...

Every modern projector that I have seen has a setting that will allow you to flip the image for this.If you purchased it used it was probably configured as a ceiling mount in an upside down orientation or rear projection onto a translucent screen. (The projection method can be set from the "OPTION2" menu. in a Model LM1 so it should be similar. http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/PTLM1U.PDF

If yours doesn't have this option, then you'll have to use mounts that require the projector to be upside down.

I want to attach a Vivitek 650HD projector to a ceiling mount, but am not sure if I mount it upside down. There doesn't seem to be a "flip" function to flip the picture.

I am 99% sure most projectors are mounted upside down. There should be a way to simply flip the image electronically via the option menu.

In most projector OCD menu (keep in mind you may want to do this before mounting), under the "Installation" or "Initial Installation" section should be an option about Projection mode/method. The options should allow you to pick front, rear, ceiling, or ceiling+rear. This sets the project to know when it will be in front of the screen, behind it, and/or attached to the ceiling (which it knows will be upside down). Then you simply set it to ceiling, mount the projector, and finish your other adjustments as needed.

I want to hang it on the ceiling face down, but the it projects upside down!

almost all projectors have a menu setting to allow the image to be flipped when ceiling mounted. Be careful not to confuse this with the rear projection setting which it is also likely to have...this makes a mirror image.

Just go in to the menu using the remote or the buttons on the projector and you will find a setting in there

When I attempt to use my USB2.0 UVC VGA WebCam, the image that pops up is upside down.

There should be a setting in the camera software, that sets the mirroring or rotation of the image. Play around with the mirror-flipping options or the rotation factor to get the image right. If it's filpped upside down, a Flip Vertical should do, or a 180 degrees rotation.

The Infocus logo image is up-side-down even without connecting to the computer.

Many projectors allow you to vertically flip the image for mounting the projectors upside down. Each projector is different in how to change that setting, so I would look in your owners manual.

Upside down image

These projectors are designed to be mounted upside down. Think of a projector that is ceiling mounted in a classroom. Change this setting in Menu - Advanced Menu - Setup - Mirror.

Rotating the image.

Hi, I am not familiar with that model, But usually if you go into the settings menu you will see settings for the display which may be under "Display" "Rotate" "Keystone" "Flip" That model is made to be mounted upside down so somewhere in the menu there will be a setting similar to those I mentioned that will flip the image.

Hope that helps, Sorry I couldn't be more specific.
