Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. F1 error indicates that the control board (ERC) has gone bad and the electronic range control (ERC) should be replaced to resolve the issue. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

I can't get my clock set on my GE stove model # JB645DT1BB It said to hold for 3 seconds to change the time but it doesn't change. HELP Please

To Set the Clock
The clock must be set to the correct time
of day for the automatic oven timing functions
to work properly,The time of day cannot be
changed during a delayed cooking or a delayed
self-cleaning cycle,
1. Touch the Clock pad twice.
For models without a Clock pad:
Hold the + and - pads for 3 seconds.

2. Touch the + or - pads.
If the + or - pads are not touched within one
minute after Step 1, the display reverts to the
original setting. If this happens, repeat Step 1
and reenter the time of day.

3. Touch the Start/On pad until the time of
day shows in the display. This enters the
time and starts the clock.
To check the time of day when the display is
showing other information, simply touch the
Clock pad. The time of day shows until another
pad is touched.

How to remove the touchpad on ge profile stove, I have f7 code

On most GE ovens you open the door and across the bottom of the control panel there are 3 1/4 inch screws, one in the center and 2 on either end going straight up into the console. remove the screws and slide the control panel up then out to you. Thats how you do it.

Where can I get a code book for GE troubleshooting of stove. I keep getting a loud beep and a code F 1 appears. What does F1 mean

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
F1 error code in your Kenmore is displayed when the oven temperature sensor goes bad, before replacing this sensor you can check it with a voltmeter. If it reads between 1050-1100ohms then it means that the temperature sensor is fine and the electronic control board needs replacement. However, after reading your question replacing the sensor is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Ge oven codes

F2 means your oven temp got too high. At least, that's what the control boards thinks. More than likely you have a bad oven sensor or bad wire to it or a bad connection somewhere between the board and sensor.

Hi,

To my understanding error code F1 would indicate a faulty control board, possibly thermistor control. The only recourse is to have this replaced.

This of course would require a fair familiarity of electrical/electronic components/circuitry and safety procedures, use of a DVM and possibly a soldering iron. It would be to your added advantage access to a service manual or at the very least a schematic diagram with voltage readings. Should you be uncomfortable performing a DIY (do-it-yourself), perhaps your best bet would then be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
