My monitor is in warranty period.after problem in my display i lodge a complain on toll number my complain no. is 100813601 on 25-0-2010.bt no one contact me or cal me or visit to my address.again i give a remainder on 31-08-2010.again no one have any mean with my problem. i serch the acer service center in my city on 02-09-2010.after that they said your monitor cannt be repaired. company will give you a replace new monitor.bt they cheat me.they have given a old repaired monitor that is older than my own purchase moniotor.my city is siliguri in wb. in that situation what i have to do?the phone No. of acer service centre siliguri is not working.

If you read the fine print of a warranty, they only promise to give you a working model not a new one. That is true of almost all warranties. The only way I know to get a new one is to try the shop where you bought it.
Acer customer service, as you have found, is not the best.

I am a new customer of prepaid idea cellular phone since last 3-4 months. My cell number is 09574827656, IMSI number 404240105156998 and present adress-B1-14 Sundaram Co-Op. HSG society Raveria Park near Moraji Circle Vapi (Valsad) Gujarat, India.
My complain is Unexpected amount Rs-110 at one time has been deducted at dated January14, 2010 from my valance amount Rs 198 at 7.0PM when I observed the balance at 9:30PM my balance was 88 Rs whenever I did not make any call at that period. Than I make a call with customer care officer they tolled me that I am use internet searching but I did not do any such type of searching. On the basis of their telling than I tolled him Pl send me detail of searching they refused my request.
and they completely surrender for giving to me any solid proof supporting to his claim of searching.
Please tell me how can a customer bear such type of unexpected deduction bethought any prove support to customer cry. Again request Give me a acknowdgement supporting to my Complain and do the needful action to support my complain.

The display of my Flatron LCD goes on and off at regular intervals? In the beginning it work great. Screen is less than a year old.


wynand811, You should have the manufacturer replace it under warranty. If unit is still covered by warranty, give a call to LG or whoever made it and complain, complain, complain!!! Don't let them off the hook!!
One thing to try is moving the monitor to a known good pc and connecting your monitor to see if it still has the "on/off/on/off/on/off problem. 12fixlouie

Unfortunately that is a failure in the display electronics and is repairable only by replacing the display panel. I don't know what the warranty period is for this model, but check your purchase date and the warranty information. If the thing is just recently out of warranty maybe the manufacturer will work with you on a solution. Or you can contact them anyway and ask. Sometimes if you complain loud enough it works wonders.

Monitor is dark


I assume that 'clears' means brightens?

The cathode heater is often supplied with a filtered DC voltage of 6-12 volts.

Often, there is a capacitor on a board plugged directly on the base of the CRT and if this fails, its capacitance becomes unstable and insufficient to adequately filter the voltage and supply clean DC.
In some monitors, the capacitor may be on the main board instead of the base of the CRT.

A technician should locate (not difficult) the CRT heater pins if not marked, and determine where the filter capacitor is located, measure it for capacitance and replace it if needed.

The value is normally many times what is required to clean up the DC but this type of part can (and will) break down chemically and its value will shrink to a very small value while its losses climb.
Eventually, this results in the effect you describe.
