the flag is in place - there is no number code - just simply - "paper jam - open exit door and remove" - then it does the same thing again - once I remove the paper - the paper is printing but does not completely exit at the back - but the printer just seems to lock down and hold the paper in place on exit

    Thanks, for your help

The code is 22.700.02 which says to check paper size, tray, etc. - I have done all that is recommended on the Xerox site and it still hangs on exit! Any other thougths?

Is there a specific code associated with your jam? A 3 digit code. Example C4A or a nine digit code,, example 07,010.34.xxxxx?

Please let me know so we can narrow it down quicker.

I would start by looking to see if the black exit sensor actuator is in place.

It would be up by the exit tray. left side about 3 inches long with a black 1/2 inch "flag" type actuator hanging down into the paper path. that is a common thing for it to fall off.

. Use internal test prints and print from all trays to determine if problem is tray specific. If jamming problem is tray specific, troubleshoot to determine problem using the 3 digit Jam code. 2. Verify that the media size is correctly being detected by Tray 1 (MPT) paper size guides. If printing envelopes verify the envelopes are the correct size and that the correct size and type is being selected from the Front Panel. 3. Open the printer's front cover, locate and remove any jammed media present. 4. Verify that the customer's media is within specification for the printer. 5. Check sensor states for the presence of media in the printer's paper path using Service Diagnostics. 5. Remove the printer's Paper Preheater assembly and check the condition of the sensor flags and check for any paper scraps that may be creating the jam message. 6. Clean the Tray 1 (MPT)pick roller assembly and ****** pad. If the ****** Pad is worn/damaged, show customer how to replace and call Inventory Control to drop ship part to customer. All other Pick Up roller assemblies are Customer Replaceable and replacement should not require another onsite visit.

    TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS AND HINTS:

    1. Do not replace parts unless diagnostic testing or troubleshooting indicates a part has failed. 2. Check the Drum Maintenance Pivot Plate for damage/cracks and replace BLACK pivot plate only if it is damaged. Replace a WHITE pivot plate per Service Bulletin 657 Rev 2. 3. Check the Drum Maintenance Cams for damage or cracks, replace only if cams are damaged or cracked. 4. If Process Drive Assembly is removed/replaced, follow procedures outlined in Service Bulletin 714 for "homing" the Process Drive Assembly. Use a Torque screwdriver and seat all 3 screws before torquing the screws to final tightness of 12 in. lbs. Torquing the screws individually before seating all components, or applying too much torque can break or put undue strain on the mounting bosses causing permanent damage to printer. 5. Record the 3-digit jam code by holding the UP arrow and pressing the OK button to access Service Tools menu/Jam history. Troubleshoot the jam code following the steps in section 3 of the Service Manual. 6. Use Service diagnostics to test paper path and Media Path motor.

We had a paper jam in the print engine area. Once the paper path has been cleared we are still receiving clear misfed paper in print engine. I have fed paper through the path and cannot find any paper jam.

If your Xerox WC 4150 is displaying "Clear the Jam in the Print Area" you should check and possibly replace the fuser exit actuator (part# 120N00534). Iteminc.com has this part in stock and ships same day. Here is a video the shows you how to check and replace the fuser exit actuator. Good luck, and thanks for using FixYa!

We have error code 09,037.45:62328 and don't know what that means or how to fix it.

- Power down the printer.
- Hold the back button and the info button at the same time, without letting go, power up the printer.
- Keep holding down the buttons until the XEROX logo comes fully to the center of the screen, keep holding for 2 more seconds, then let go. I'll take about a minute or two for the Diagnostic screen to come up, the display will turn blank and black.
- When the Diagnostic screen comes up go to down to the Function or Exercise option, there will be an option that says "clear ISC faults" it'll ask you to press OK to confirm, after you do then you will exit Diagnostics and the printer will reboot.
It should be fine until it happens again. Until all the 8200 ink is gone you will probably be doing this a few more times. Also make sure the 8200 ink is not jammed inside the ink loader, if it is then you have to un-jam it some how.

Where in Belgium Europe can I find Heating halogen ligths for a 8200 phaser printer. On the old continent we use 220 volts. Xerox asks 200? plus a heavy repair fee ... Thanks for help

If you are able to do the repair yourself, then remove a lamp from the preheater assembly and look at the voltage and wattage on the bulb itself...on some there is also a lamp part number.

you can also order a repair kit from e-bay. The same lamps are used in the Phasers 840, 850, 860 & 8200

Here are 2 links that have what you need (if the internal voltages for the printer are the same in europe as in usa):

My printer only jams when printing multiple pages

Is there a specific code you are getting when the machine stops?
It can be a few things, one would be a 3 letter number code, the other a 8 digit number listed as xx,xxx.xxx.
That would help greatly in determining your problem.

Lock down

Is sounds like your exit sensor actuator has been knocked off. It's not seeing the paper hitting the exit sensor and shutting down.
